Toasty Treats Coming to Downtown Detroit: Toastique Set to Open Its First Location
A vibrant and healthy dining option is about to hit downtown Detroit as the gourmet toast chain, Toastique, prepares to open its doors at 89 Monroe St., near Campus Martius park. The Washington D.C.-based cafe chain has been making waves with its nutritious menu offerings since its founding in 2018.
The six siblings behind the Toastique brand, Nour Kanaan, Sarah Kanaan, Hanadi Kanaan, Aya Kanaan, Abbas Kanaan, and Zeinab Ballout, are stoked to bring their unique concept to Detroit. According to Nour, "we felt like the city really needed something like this; there’s so much growth happening here but not many quick and healthy options for people working or living downtown." The focus on using clean ingredients, vibrant dishes, and great-tasting food resonated with the siblings.
The Detroit location will feature a wide range of menu items including avocado toast, açaí bowls, smoothies, cold-pressed juices, coffees, and more. The cafe aims to be part of the community by collaborating with local artists and small businesses.
To celebrate its grand opening, Toastique will offer several promotions and giveaways during its first week. These include $50 in rewards for the first 100 customers who spend at least $10 on November 8, free drip coffee with purchases over $10 on November 9, a special deal on juice on tap on November 10, free coffee or espresso with any purchase on November 11, and discounted smoothies all day long on November 12.
With its commitment to serving healthy, tasty food, Toastique is poised to become a favorite among Detroit's busy professionals and health-conscious residents.
