Dutch centrists D66 back in lead in election vote count, edging past far-right PVV – Europe live

The article discusses the outcome of the Dutch parliamentary election held on October 30, 2025. The far-right PVV party of anti-immigration firebrand Geert Wilders narrowly ahead of the centrist D66 with 99.6% votes counted, but the difference between the two parties is just under 1,400 votes, and many more are still yet to be counted. This means that it's likely that the centrist D66 will lead the talks to form the next government coalition, rather than Wilders' PVV. All major mainstream parties have ruled out governing with Wilders after he brought down the last coalition led by his PVV. The coalition talks are expected to take months before the new administration emerges.

Here is a summary of the article:

* Centrist D66 likely to lead talks to form next government coalition
* All major mainstream parties have ruled out governing with Wilders after he brought down last coalition led by PVV
* Coalition talks expected to take months before new administration emerges

Just had a chill 😒 thinking about the Netherlands now. So close, yet so far from stability... one thing is for sure, Dutch politics are getting more and more polarized 🤯. D66's lead might be small, but it's still better than that Wilders guy 💔. Can't help but think about the months of coalition talks ahead... just what Netherlands needs, more gridlock 🕰️.

OMG, this is sooo unpredictable 🤯! I mean, I know Geert Wilders is super polarizing and stuff, but I'm still kinda surprised that the D66 party isn't totally crushing it right now. Like, 99.6% of votes counted and they're still only a tiny bit ahead? That's some crazy math 📊. And can you even imagine having to deal with coalition talks with Wilders at all? 😱 I mean, he's literally been the bane of every politician's existence in this country. It's gonna be soooo interesting to see how this whole thing plays out...

🤔 I'm not surprised that the centrist D66 is still in the lead, but 1,400 votes seems like a lot to make all that difference 🤑. I mean, it's not like they're going to change their stance on immigration and everything just because Wilders lost by so little 🙄. The fact that mainstream parties are ruling out governing with him is pretty telling though 😬. It's gonna be an interesting few months ahead of time when the coalition talks start 🕰️.

I don’t usually comment but... I’m kinda surprised that the centrist D66 is still in the lead. I thought Geert Wilders and the PVV would do way better with all the anti-immigration vibes going around these days 😕. It’s like, what's changed? Did people really get tired of his rhetoric or something? I don’t wanna be a conspiracy theorist but... there are some weird things about this election that I’m still trying to wrap my head around 🤔. Also, isn’t it kinda crazy that Wilders is still in the game despite bringing down all those coalitions before? I guess you never know what people want until they vote for it 🤷‍♂️.

Ugh, Dutch politics are so dramatic 😒. I mean, who needs that much uncertainty in a country's future? The PVV party is always causing a stir, and now this election result is all about Wilders and D66 going at it again 🤯. And what's up with the mainstream parties refusing to work with him? It's just so... complicated 💭. Can't they just get along for once? 🙄 I'm not saying I condone everything PVV does, but come on, is it really that hard to form a coalition without all these dramas? 🤷‍♂️

🤔 I'm surprised that the PVV is doing so well, considering how polarising Geert Wilders can be. I think it's a wake-up call for the Dutch people about immigration and how it affects their daily lives. But at the same time, it's also worrying to see how divided the country is 🤕. I hope that whoever becomes the leader of the next government coalition can bring the country together and find common ground on some of these issues. It's going to be interesting to see who steps up and if they're able to put aside their differences and work towards a better future for everyone 💪🏽.

lol just think about it, a country where politics is so divided that the most extreme right-wing party is only 0.4% ahead of the centrist party 🤯🇳🇱 and they're already saying no to forming a govt with the guy who's like the anti-immigration king 👑 guess what? now they have to wait months for coalition talks to happen, so we can all just enjoy some more politics as usual 😴

🤔 Just thinking about the Dutch election, it's crazy how polarized politics can get! The fact that Wilders' PVV is so close to D66 but still can't form a government speaks volumes about the Dutch people's views on immigration and more. It's interesting to see how the centrist D66 comes out on top, might be because they're seen as the middle ground between extremes 🤝🏽. Still, with 1,400 votes difference, it shows Wilders' PVV has some serious momentum 💥. The long wait for coalition talks is no surprise though - these things can take forever! 😴 Either way, one thing's for sure: this election will keep Netherlands on everyone's radar 📺🗳️

OMG, I'm so shocked about the Dutch parliamentary election result 😱🤯! Geert Wilders' PVV party is like, super close to D66 with only 1,400 votes left to count?! 🤔 This means that D66 might actually get to lead the talks and form the next government coalition, which is literally a game-changer 💥. I'm all about the politics, fam! 😂 But seriously, it's crazy how much of an impact Wilders' party has on the election outcome. He's like, super divisive, you know? 🤝 Anyway, can't wait to see what happens next and who'll be the new leaders in charge 💪.

I'm low-key surprised that Geert Wilders' PVV isn't in a better position 🤔. I mean, he's been making waves for years and has built up a loyal following. But it looks like the Dutch people have spoken 🗳️, and D66 is gonna be leading the charge 💪. I'm curious to see how this plays out - will we see a more moderate government come together? Only time (and those last 1400 votes) will tell 😅.

lol just saw the funniest meme on snapchat about wilders' face and i'm like is that really what they're gonna be making of him for years to come? anyway, have you tried those new vegan burgers at subway? they're actually pretty good 🍔🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure what's going on with Dutch politics, but this far-right guy Geert Wilders is still a big deal. I mean, 99.6% votes counted and his party is only ahead of the centrist D66 by under 1,400 votes? It feels like he's just trying to stir up drama again. And now that all major mainstream parties are saying no to working with him? That's what you get when you're always tweeting about banning migrants and whatnot. I'm not sure how long it'll take for the centrist D66 to sort out a coalition, but hopefully they can do better than Wilders is doing. 🤔💬

omg, i cant believe how close it is between the 2 parties 🤯. one thing thats really puzzling me tho is why all these mainstream parties are being so cautious about working with Geert Wilders... dont get me wrong, he does have a reputation for stirring up controversy, but doesnt that just mean hes more of a wild card? 🤑 or maybe its just that the other parties dont wanna work with him bcos they know its gonna be a headache 🤦‍♂️. anyway, cant wait to see how this all plays out and who ends up leading the coalition talks! 👀
