man I'm still shivering thinking about that crazy chicago weather in january lol -40c is like, whoa! 🥶😅 i remember reading those sun-times articles and being like "wow, people are out braving this cold!" and then you see the pics of runners and cyclists and beachgoers just chillin' in the snow and it's like, "okay, chicagoans are tough" 😂🏃‍♀️🚴‍♂️❄️ i also felt bad for those who had to deal with ice buildup on roads and buildings, that's just super inconvenient 🤦‍♂️💪 anyway, glad the city was able to distribute warm clothing and blankets to help out, that's super thoughtful of them ❤️

I'm thinking... the pics of people running in the snow are pretty impressive 🏃‍♂️❄️, but also kinda crazy! I mean, -40°C wind chill is no joke 💀. And you're right, the city did a good job of distributing warm gear to those who needed it. But what really caught my eye was how everyone came together to help each other out - people shoveling snow for their neighbors, that's just awesome 🤝. Overall, it's great to see the community rally around each other in times like these ❤️.

😒 I'm still trying to figure out how people can go for a run in -40°C weather... like, what's the point of even running if you're gonna freeze to death? 🤣 And have you seen those photos of people ice skating on the frozen Lake Michigan? It's like they're having some kind of crazy winter adventure or something! 💦 My aunt lives in Chicago and she told me it was really bad up there, so I'm glad someone is writing about it... but can we talk about what's for lunch? 🍔👀

🤔 I gotta say, 40°F wind chill is straight up crazy! 🥶 Like, who tries to go beaching during -50°C temps? 🏊‍♀️ Those people are either super tough or completely insane. 😂 Anyway, it's pretty clear that the city took some good steps to help people out, like distributing warm gear and blankets. That's actually really cool of them (pun intended). And I'm not surprised they had ice buildup on roads and buildings - it's not exactly a rare occurrence in Chicago this time of year. ❄️ Still, it's impressive that the writers were able to get some great shots of people braving the elements. Overall, yeah, these articles are pretty informative! 💡

omg, I'm still shaking just thinking about those temps! ❄️🥶 like, -40°C to -45°C is COLD 🤯! I feel for those runners and cyclists who had to brave the elements... bless their hearts ❤️! And can you imagine walking around with ice buildup on your car or building exterior? 😱 That's just crazy talk! But at least they were getting out and enjoying the winter wonderland 🎄🏞️. I'm kinda jealous, tbh 😂. Anyway, it sounds like the city was prepared to help people cope with the extreme cold, which is super cool 👍. Give it up for Chicago's resilience! 💪

Yeah I mean like the cold weather in Chicago was super crazy lol -40°C is insane! 🥶 But seriously, can we talk about how overhyped all this is? Everyone's gonna be like "Oh my god I went outside in that cold and I'm so brave" 🙄 Meanwhile, like, some people are literally freezing to death in other parts of the world... ❄️ We need to get our priorities straight. And what's with the photoshopped beach pics of people being all carefree? 🤣 Like, no one was actually doing beach stuff in that cold!

I'm still shivering just reading about this crazy weather 😂💉 I mean, -40°F to -50°F is insane! Who needs that kind of chill? It's no wonder people were braving it in their PJs or bundling up like the Michelin Man 🤣. And can you imagine having to shovel ice buildup on roads and buildings? That's just crazy talk ❄️😩. I'm glad the city took steps to help, though - warm clothes and blankets are just what people need when it's that cold. I hope everyone stayed safe out there! 💕

I was stuck at home with my laptop all day 🤯 while the polar vortex was going on outside. I couldn't even step out without risking frostbite 😅. It's crazy how quickly things can take a turn for the worse, especially in cities like Chicago where you gotta be prepared for anything ❄️. The pics of people braving the cold are quite inspiring actually - I mean, running or cycling in that kind of weather takes some serious guts! 💪

Ugh, Chicago is freezing right now 😩💦 I was in NYC last month and I saw videos of people struggling with -20°F temps, but this is crazy! I mean, who needs to run 5 miles when you can't even feel your face? 🏃‍♀️😂 I do love the pics of people braving it though, some of them are just bundled up in like 10 layers 🧥👕. And yeah, ice buildup is a real thing now, I was worried about my bike when I rode through the snow last week 🚴‍♂️😬. The city did seem to come together and help out though, that's definitely something to be proud of 💕.

Ugh, can you believe the polar vortex is back at it again? 😒 Chicago was literally frozen solid, like they're trying to make up for something 🙄. -40°F to -50°F is straight-up crazy, no wonder people were bundled up like the Michelin Man ❄️. And don't even get me started on the ice buildup, roads are a mess and buildings are all slippery... just great. I mean, what's the point of having sidewalks if they're just gonna freeze over too? 🤯 At least some people were brave enough to hit the trails or beaches while it was still somewhat bearable 😂, but let's be real, that's not exactly a city-wide phenomenon...

omg can u even imagine walkin outside in -40c ❄️?? i mean chicago is already a winter wonderland but this was just crazy! 🤯 the people who braved it out though, i gotta give them props 💪 they're like the ultimate winter warriors ☃️. and yeah ice buildup on roads and buildings is no joke 🚧. but u know what's even better? the pics of snow-covered cityscapes 📸 it's like a whole new world out there! 🌍

I'm still shivering thinking about those crazy temps in Chicago 🥶! I mean, who needs -40°C wind chill? Not me, that's for sure 😂. But seriously, it's crazy how ice just builds up everywhere - roads, sidewalks, even buildings! It's like the city is all frozen over ❄️. And can you believe people still hit the trails and beaches in this kinda weather? I mean, I'd rather be cozied up with a hot cuppa ☕️ than brave that cold! But hey, kudos to the Chicagoans for staying strong and showing us all how it's done 💪.

OMG you guys I'm still trying to process how COLD it was in Chicago last week 🥶😱 -40°F to -50°F is insane!! I mean I've seen some chilly days in my time but this is on another level! And can we talk about the wind chill values? Like, who even thought that was a good idea? 😂 It's like Mother Nature decided to throw a frozen punch at the city.

I love how the articles captured the resilience of the people though. I mean, runners and cyclists out there braving the cold weather with nothing but a determination to get their exercise in 🏃‍♀️🚴‍♂️ And then there are the beachgoers who thought it was a good idea to hit the sand at -40°C ❄️😂

And let's not forget about the city's efforts to help out. Distributing warm clothing and blankets is literally lifesaving stuff 😊. It just goes to show that even in the harshest of conditions, there are people who care.

Anyway, I'm still shivering over here but at least I have a good story to tell 🤣
