Bears CB Tyrique Stevenson focused on being good teammate after being benched

Bears Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson Focused on Being a Good Teammate After Being Benched

Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is looking to bounce back from being benched in the Bears' season finale. When asked about his situation, Stevenson said he was "just rolling with the punches at this point" and focusing on being "the best teammate I can be."

Stevenson's benching came after coach Ben Johnson cited two-time Pro Bowl player Jaylon Johnson and Nahshon Wright as the top options for cornerback. The two players have been with the team longer, but Stevenson has been a part of the rotation alongside them.

When asked about his situation, Stevenson remained calm and focused on his role within the team. "The best thing I can do is come here and be healthy and be ready for any opportunity I get," he said.

Stevenson's comments suggest that he is taking a positive approach to being benched. He is focusing on being a good teammate and doing what is best for the team, rather than getting caught up in his own emotions.

The Bears' playoff status has sparked sales of the "Bomb" drink at Gracie O'Malley's, but it remains to be seen if Stevenson will get back into the starting lineup. One thing is certain, however: he will be ready for any opportunity that comes his way.

I gotta say, this whole benching situation with Tyrique Stevenson just seems like another example of how teams are more concerned with winning than actually helping out their players. Like, benched him in the season finale? That's harsh 🤔. And now he's just rolling with it and focusing on being a good teammate? Sounds like just what they want from him: to shut up and play nice 😒. What's next, having guys train alone and not communicate with each other? It seems like teams are more worried about "winning" than actually supporting their players...

I feel bad for Tyrique Stevenson, been benched and all 🤕. It's hard not knowing what's gonna happen next, but it sounds like he's taking it in stride. Focusing on being a good teammate is a great attitude to have, especially in the NFL where it's easy to get caught up in your own emotions. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, hopefully he gets back into the rotation and can contribute to the team's success 🤞.

I think Tyrique Stevenson handled this situation really well 🤝. He could've got defensive and brought up Jaylon Johnson's experience or something like that, but instead he chose to focus on being a good teammate. That shows maturity and a willingness to make sacrifices for the team. I'm curious to see how it plays out - does the Bears' coaching staff take notice of his positive attitude?

Ugh, I don't trust this guy... thinks being a good teammate means just going through the motions and not rocking the boat 🤔. Like, if you're benched, what does that say about your skills? You're just gonna roll with it and hope to get back in? Sounds like he's already losing his mind 💔. And btw, why does everyone keep saying "the best teammate I can be"? What's the worst that could happen if he doesn't play nice? 🤷‍♂️

idk how i feel about stevenson being benched lol... like he's taking it in stride, which is def a good attitude to have, but at the same time, u gotta wonder if he's still got what it takes to start 🤔... ben jones is right tho, jaylon & nahshon are solid players, they've earned their spots. Stevenson's got skills for days, but being a starter isn't just about personal talent, it's about the team's chemistry too 💭... i'm curious to see how he responds when he gets his chance back 🤞

tyrique stevenson sounds like a really chill dude 🤯, i mean benched in the season finale and still he's all about being a good teammate 👊, can't say much bad about that 💯

🤔 so I think Tyrique Stevenson is handling this whole benching thing really well. It's not easy being benched when you know you've got what it takes to play, but instead of getting all salty about it, he's choosing to focus on being a good teammate. That's the kind of attitude that'll take him far in the NFL! 💪 And honestly, it's good for the team too - having guys like Jaylon and Nahshon at the top of the rotation is great experience for Stevenson. He's learning from them and growing as a player. Let's see if he gets back into the starting lineup soon, but either way, I'm rooting for TS! 🎉

Lol what's good fam? so Stevenson got benched and instead of throwing shade or getting salty, he's focusing on being a good teammate 🤝🏽💼 like for real, that's the kind of maturity we need more of in sports. and yeah, Jaylon & Nahshon have been with the team longer, but that don't mean Stevenson ain't got game 😂. he's just gotta stay chill and wait for his chance to shine again. and btw, who knew Gracie O'Malley's was poppin' because of the Bears playoff hopes 🤣
