Bellarmine's Coach Steps Down After Three Seasons of Defeat

In a shocking move, David Diaz-Infante has announced his departure from the Bellarmine football team after just three seasons. The news was confirmed on Tuesday, sparking speculation about the future of the program.

Diaz-Infante, who took over as coach in 2022, had been under pressure to turn around the team's fortunes, which have been marked by dismal performances and a lackluster record. His decision to step down comes amid reports that he will not return as head coach for the 2026 season.

The news has sent shockwaves through the football community, with many fans and players taking to social media to express their disappointment and support for Diaz-Infante. The team's performance on the field was often criticized, particularly in recent games where they have been outscored by significant margins.

As the search for a new coach begins, fans are left wondering what the future holds for Bellarmine football. Will a new leader be able to turn things around and restore pride to the program? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain - the pressure is now on the athletic department to find a winning formula.

The decision marks a significant shift in the team's fortunes, which have been marked by inconsistency and underperformance. Diaz-Infante had promised to bring a new level of enthusiasm and energy to the program, but unfortunately, his efforts were unable to translate into success on the field.

With the 2026 season just around the corner, the search for a new coach is already underway. Athletic officials are working behind the scenes to identify potential candidates who can turn things around and bring back winning football to Bellarmine.
