Brisbane International: Aryna Sabalenka beats Marta Kostyuk to win third title

Aryna Sabalenka took the top spot in Brisbane International, winning her third title. The Belarusian, seeded number one, defeated 16th seed Marta Kostyuk 6-4, 6-3 in a match that lasted just over an hour.

The victory marked Sabalenka's 22nd WTA title and came without dropping a set throughout the tournament. Her win was seen as a solid preparation for the Australian Open, which she aims to win in Melbourne next month.

For Kostyuk, who lost her serve twice in the match, it was another tough exit after failing to hold back tears during the post-match interview. The Ukrainian player spoke about the difficult situation at home where thousands of people are without light and warm water due to Russian bombing.

omg I'm SOOOO hyped for Aryna Sabalenka!!! 🤩 she's just on fire right now!!! i mean, 22 wta titles is crazy!!! and beating marta kostyuk like that? easy peasy for aryna! 😏 her win was definitely a solid prep for the aussie open next month... i'm literally counting down the days until she takes home the trophy in melbourne 🎉💪 but ugh, poor marti... i can imagine how tough it must be to deal with all that drama back home in ukkraine... hope she gets some support and can bounce back from this loss 💕

omg yaaas Aryna Sabalenka is ON FIRE right now!! 🚀 she's like a total rockstar on court! i'm low-key rooting for her to take that Aussie Open title 💪🏽 anyway, gotta give it up to Marta Kostyuk too, she played a great match and showed so much heart 💕 but ugh, all this talk about war and no water... like, can't we just focus on some tennis for once 🤷‍♀️?

Yaaas for Aryna Sabalenka! She's on fire 🤩, I love how consistent she is on the court. 22 WTA titles already? That's impressive! But you can't help but feel a little bad for Marta Kostyuk, she's clearly struggling with more than just her tennis game. Russian bombing situation is super harsh and it's heartbreaking to see athletes having to deal with that in their personal lives. Hopefully, the WTA can do something to support her and other Ukrainian players who are going through tough times 🤗💖. Still, Sabalenka's win gives me some hope for the Australian Open – a top player winning at home tournament is always exciting! 👀

OMG 😲 what a dominant performance by Aryna Sabalenka!!! she's on fire 💥 and it's so sick how she didn't drop a single set throughout the tournament 🙌! her movement, her shots, everything was just perfection 🔩! and that last point win over Marta Kostyuk was like a dagger to her dreams 😂. poor Kostyuk though, I can imagine how tough it must be for her to hold back tears after speaking about the war situation in Ukraine 🙏💔. Sabalenka's win is definitely giving me vibes of Australian Open glory 💪🌴!

🏸😐 I'm loving the simplicity of Aryna Sabalenka's winning format, you know? Just 2 sets, no drama! 😅 It's like she just waltzed onto the court and got the job done. And 22 WTA titles under her belt? 🤯 That's some impressive consistency right there.

But what really caught my eye was Marta Kostyuk's post-match interview... 💔 I can only imagine how tough it must be to deal with that kind of situation back home, knowing thousands of people are suffering without basic necessities. It's a shame she couldn't hold it together on the court, but kudos to her for speaking out about something so important. 🌎 Let's hope she can find some support and get back to doing what she loves - tennis! 💪

Aryna Sabalenka is on fire 💥! 22 WTA titles, that's insane! She's got this Australian Open thing locked down for sure. 🙌 I'm loving her dominance on court right now, it's beautiful to watch her play.

But you know who's not doing so great? Marta Kostyuk 🤕. I feel bad for the girl, she's going through a tough time with what's happening back home in Ukraine. It's really admirable that she spoke about it during that interview, shows a lot of heart and strength. We should all be supporting her like that 💪.

Anyway, can't wait to see how Sabalenka does at the Aussie Open! She's got the skills and the experience, let's hope she brings home that title 🎉!

Yaaas girl Aryna Sabalenka is on fire 🎾💥! Winning that title in Brisbane was a great way to prep for the Aussie Open, you know? I'm super stoked she's gonna crush it in Melbourne 🤩. But, gotta give some props to Marta Kostyuk too, the girl's got game and she played so hard 💪. Sorry to hear about what's going on back home for her tho 🤕. Thousands without water is crazy, hope they get that sorted out soon 🌎. Anyway, Sabalenka's victory was a great reminder that when life gives you... um, tennis title wins 😂, make the most of it!

OMG, Aryna Sabalenka is on fire right now! Winning her third title in a row is no joke 🤯. She's like the female version of Serena Williams back in her prime - unstoppable and fierce 💪. And can we talk about Marta Kostyuk for a sec? Poor girl just got destroyed in that match 😩. I feel bad for her, especially after talking about what's going on back home in Ukraine. Thousands of people without basic necessities like light and water... it's heartbreaking 🤕. I hope she takes some time to process everything and comes back stronger than ever 💫. And btw, Sabalenka's win is definitely giving me some Aussie Open vibes already 🎾👀!

what a shock 😮, 22 WTA titles already? she's like a machine on court 💥! but i gotta feel for martta kostyuk, that post-match interview was so emotional 🤕... thousands of ppl in ukraine without basic necessities, it's just heartbreaking ❤️. hope aryna can use her platform to bring some awareness & help out the situation back home 🙏

Ugh, WTA tennis tournaments just keep getting longer... like what's up with the time control? Aryna Sabalenka wins her match in under an hour, which is awesome, but can we please get some consistency on the clock? I'm all for a good underdog story, especially for Marta Kostyuk. But seriously, that post-match interview just got me feeling bad for the girl - thousands of people without light and water? Like, can't we make a difference, even in these tournaments? And what's up with the lack of info on how the WTA is supporting her? Just a thought...

🤗 I'm so stoked for Aryna Sabalenka! She's literally on fire right now 🌡️, and I love how she's taking this momentum into the Australian Open 🎾. Her winning streak is so inspiring, and it's awesome that she's dominating her games without even breaking a sweat 💪. As for Marta Kostyuk, I can totally feel her frustration, it's tough to lose when you're giving it your all 💔. And wow, the situation at home with all those people affected by the Russian bombing is heartbreaking 😩... I hope she gets the support and care she needs during this difficult time 🤗.

can you imagine how hard it must be for Marta Kostyuk right now 🤯 she's on top of her game, then goes out like that... i feel bad for her, especially since she's going through all this tough stuff back home, no water or light, and still manages to perform on the court, only to lose like that 💔 anyway, congrats to Aryna Sabalenka on her win! 22 wta titles is insane 🤩 gotta be super motivated to keep pushing herself for the aussie open next month 💪

Sabalenka's win is a great example of how tennis can be used as a tool for diplomacy, right? I mean, think about it - she's a Belarusian playing in Australia, and what could have been a tense moment between the two of them on the court ended up being a beautiful display of sportsmanship. And let's not forget Kostyuk's heartfelt post-match interview - it shows that even in the midst of tough times like those in Ukraine, we can find moments of compassion and empathy.

But what's really interesting is how this win could be seen as a symbol of resilience and determination. Sabalenka's 22 titles speak to her ability to stay focused and driven under pressure. And I think we can all learn from that. It makes me wonder, though - how do we translate these qualities into real-world politics? Can we apply the same level of grit and perseverance to addressing issues like energy security and access to basic services? 🤔💪

🌟 what's up with tennis players always talking about their personal struggles on the court? 🤔 i mean, we get it, winning is tough but can't they just focus on beating the competition for once? 🏆 aryyna sabalenka seems like a solid player but let's not forget who her opponent was 😒 marta kostyuk is talented too and she's going through some real stuff back home 💔 hope she gets some support from her fellow athletes or the wta organization. maybe they can organize a fundraiser for the people affected by the russian bombing 🌎

I'm so hyped for Aryna Sabalenka 🎾💪! She's killing it on the court, and it's awesome to see her win that third title in Brisbane International 💃. 22 WTA titles? That's insane! 😲 And she did it without dropping a single set - what a dominant performance 💥. I'm also loving how focused she is on winning the Aussie Open next month 🏆.

But, gotta give it up for Marta Kostyuk too 🙌. Losing to Sabalenka can be tough, but at least she's keeping it real and talking about the struggles in Ukraine 💔. Those thousands of people without light or warm water? Not cool 👎. It's great that she used her platform to bring attention to that issue. Hope more players do the same 🌟.

omg sabalenka is on fire 🔥! 22 wta titles already and she's just getting started? i'm so hyped for her at the aus open next month 🎾👏 but gotta feel bad for kostyuk too, losing in such a tough match and then having to talk about that super emotional situation back home 🤕 it's crazy how tennis can sometimes take over your emotions during matches 💔 ukrainians are so strong btw 🙌

Ugh 🙄 what's going on with these tennis players?! Like seriously, Aryna Sabalenka just waltzed in and took the title without even breaking a sweat 😴 she's got 22 WTA titles now and I'm over here thinking 'where was she all those years?' And Marta Kostyuk's story is just heartbreaking 💔 I mean, can you imagine not having access to basic necessities like light and water due to some conflict? It's just so sad 😔. Anyway, Sabalenka's definitely got her game face on now... let's see how she does at the Australian Open 🤞

Sabalenka's win is fire 💥! She's been crushing on court for ages now and it's only a matter of time before she takes down the big girls in Melbourne 🎾. I love how she's just going for it, no holding back, you feel me? 💪 And props to Kostyuk, she gave it her all but sometimes you gotta acknowledge that there are more battles to be fought off court too 🤕. The fact that she spoke about the struggles back home is really admirable, shows she's not just a tough tennis player, but also has a heart of gold ❤️. Can't wait to see Sabalenka take on the rest of the tour and see what she does next! 🎉

🤩 Oh man, Aryna Sabalenka is on fire! 3 titles in a row, she's like unstoppable 😅. I love how she played so consistently throughout the tournament, no drop sets at all - that says a lot about her skills 💪. And winning without even breaking a sweat? That's what we call preparation for the big stage 🏰👑.

But, wow, Marta Kostyuk's post-match interview was so emotional 🤕. I feel bad for the girl, losing like that and then talking about all the struggles she's facing back home... thousands of people without basic necessities? That's just heartbreaking 💔. The Australian Open can't be her priority right now. Maybe she should focus on taking care of herself first before heading into the tournament? 🤗
