I'm not sure why we're shocked about the CIA drone strike on Venezuela 
, considering how complicated and messy politics are in Latin America 
. Think about it - the US has been trying to topple Maduro's government for a while now, and this move is just another step in that direction 
.It's interesting that critics say the CIA operation is an illegal extrajudicial killing
, but what if we looked at it from a different angle? Maybe this is actually an opportunity for Venezuela to re-evaluate its relationships with other countries and think about how it can strengthen itself without relying on external powers 
.The history of US involvement in the region isn't exactly pristine
, so I'm not surprised that some experts are warning about unintended consequences
