CrimeCon’s Clue Awards Open Submissions for 2026 Ceremony (EXCLUSIVE)

CrimeCon's Clue Awards Invite Submissions for 2026 Ceremony, With a Cut-Off Deadline Just Around the Corner.

The annual True Crime Con event is gearing up to honor excellence in storytelling across television, podcasting, film, and publishing with its prestigious Clue Awards. For the first time, categories such as scripted series or films will be added, further solidifying The Clue Awards' status as a benchmark for true crime content creators.

A special committee comprising industry professionals will select nominees and winners from submissions received between May 31, 2025, and March 31, 2026. Entries can be submitted at ClueAwards.com, with early bird discounts available until February 15. Regular submissions are accepted until March 21, while April 1 marks the cut-off date for final entries.

To qualify for consideration, projects must be released during this timeframe and be accessible in the United States. Categories include outstanding episodic series, docuseries, scripted series or films, documentary films, true crime books of the year, as well as individual achievement honors.

Past winners have included notable titles such as Netflix's "American Murder: Gabby Petito" and ABC News' "The Girl Who Looked Like Me." The 2026 ceremony will take place on May 30 in Las Vegas, with Grammy-winning artist Ice-T set to host the event once again.

CrimeCon's Clue Awards are all about celebrating the good storytelling out there. You know, when you're watching a true crime series or listening to a podcast that really makes you think... it's like, wow! Someone is taking all these dark stories and turning them into something we can learn from. That's what I love about this awards ceremony - it's not just about who got the prize, but also about spreading awareness and educating people about true crime. It's like, we should always be seeking knowledge and understanding, you know? Even when it's hard to hear... 🤔

OMG, I'm so stoked that CrimeCon is expanding its Clue Awards to include scripted series and films! It's about time we see more recognition for creators who are killing it in the TV and film world. And with a cut-off deadline just around the corner, I hope people get their submissions in before it's too late 😅. I'm really curious to see what projects will make the cut this year - maybe some hidden gems from indie filmmakers? 🤔 Anyway, it's gonna be lit having Grammy-winning Ice-T hosting the ceremony again! He always brings that energy 🎉. Can't wait for May 30 in Vegas to roll around and celebrate all things true crime 🕵️‍♀️

omg I'm so stoked they're adding scripted series & films categories - it's about time we get some recognition for those creators who bring true crime stories to life through other mediums 🤯📺💥

Can you believe CrimeCon is already planning their awards ceremony for next year? Like, isn't it still March? It feels like they're racing against time... or maybe they just want to make sure everyone has a chance to frantically finish their projects before the deadline 🕰️. I mean, what's up with the cut-off date on April 1st? That's just asking for people to submit something ridiculous at midnight 😂. Anyway, I guess it's good that they're expanding categories – scripted series and films? That's a bold move, CrimeCon! Maybe they'll finally recognize some of us who have been stuck writing decent TV scripts for years 📝. Still, can't wait to see what other gems they'll crown winners with... or what epic fail they'll nominate next 😎.

New categories this year like scripted series and films - interesting move, might attract more attention to True Crime Con 📺. Ice-T hosting again, should be good for entertainment value 😎. Don't see why anyone wouldn't submit their work by now, gotta keep up with the competition 🏆.
