Game ball, three stars, and snap count analysis: Week 10, Eagles at Packers

Eagles' Win Over Packers a Mixed Bag, But Defense Stands Out

The Philadelphia Eagles' 25-21 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 10 was a game that will be remembered for its defensive struggles on both sides of the ball. The offense, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, struggled to find consistency, with Hurts throwing for 183 yards and one touchdown against zero interceptions. However, it's worth noting that this wasn't his best performance, and the defense balled out in his absence.

One area where the Eagles' offense did excel was in terms of play calling. They dialed up a variety of plays, including some tricky shot plays, which kept the Packers' defense on their heels. Tight end Dallas Goedert had four catches for 43 yards on six targets, while wide receiver DeVonta Smith continued to impress with four receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown.

However, the Eagles' running game was a different story. Saquon Barkley carried the ball 22 times for 60 yards (2.7 YPC), but his numbers were ultimately inflated by a holding call on Brett Toth that wiped out a long run. The RB rotation appears to have settled in, with Barkley as the lead back and Will Shipley serving as the third-down back.

The Eagles' offensive line played well enough in pass protection, allowing no sacks against the Packers' potent defense. However, they struggled to create running lanes, which limited their effectiveness on the ground.

On the defensive side of things, the Eagles' edge defenders were a major factor in their win. Jaelan Phillips led the team with 53 snaps played and was highly disruptive, batted a few passes, and forced a fumble against the Packers. Nakobe Dean was also excellent, finishing with seven tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in just 44 snaps.

The interior defensive line, led by Jalen Carter, was equally impressive, with Carter having pressure all night and playing the run well. The linebackers were solid as well, with Baun and Dean standing out among their peers.

In terms of special teams, there was one notable blip on the radar: a boneheaded holding call on Brandon Graham that wiped out a great punt by Braden Mann. However, overall, the Eagles' coverage unit was excellent, with Mitchell making a big play on deep ball and Blankenship providing stability in the secondary.

As for the three stars of the game, Phillips gets the nod as an edge defender who fits right in with this defense like a glove. Dean is also recognized for his impressive performance despite being limited by a patellar tendon injury. Smith rounds out the trio with an outstanding display from the Eagles' WR1.

The game ball goes to Nakobe Dean, who is still on a tear despite returning from a difficult injury. The final three stars are DeVonta Smith (WR), Dallas Goedert (TE), and Jaelan Phillips (EDGE).

The Eagles' victory over the Packers was marked by an uneven performance, but I think it's fair to say that their defense played a significant role in securing the win πŸ™Œ. The edge rushers, particularly Jaelan Phillips, were on point, disrupting the Packers' offense and forcing key turnovers πŸ‘Š. Nakobe Dean's impressive performance was also notable, despite being limited by his injury 😊. On the other hand, I do think it's a bit puzzling that Saquon Barkley didn't get more yards out of his carries - the holding call on Brett Toth seemed to greatly inflate his numbers πŸ€”. Overall, however, the Eagles' defense was the real MVP of this game πŸ‘

the eagles defense was straight fire 🀩 I mean they held it down all game long, even when their offense wasn't doing much. Nakobe Dean is a beast πŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈ and that edge defender Jaelan Phillips is like a puzzle piece that fit perfectly into the team's defensive scheme. I love how their interior line was able to bring pressure without getting overwhelmed, it's like they had a master plan in place 🧠

So they think the Eagles won that game 25-21? I'm not sure if you guys were paying attention, but I think they might've been winning 23-17 at one point. Anyway, their defense was solid, no doubt about it, Nakobe Dean and Jaelan Phillips killed it on D, but what's with all the holding calls? It's like they can't even get that right... πŸ˜’πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ

idk what's up with the Eagles' run game tho πŸ€” they cant seem to get anything goin past 3 yards... it was like saquon was just kinda runnin in place lol. but props to the defense for carryin the team, deangelo holland is straight fire πŸ”₯

I gotta say, that defensive line was on point last night 🀯! Carter, Baun, and Dean all brought the heat and made some huge plays. I mean, 53 snaps from Jaelan Phillips alone is crazy, right? πŸ’₯ And Nakobe Dean's performance despite being injured earlier in the season is a testament to his dedication and work ethic πŸ”¨. But at the same time, it's weird that their offense couldn't find any consistency πŸ€”... Saquon Barkley did get some decent numbers but I'm not sure if they really needed him to carry the load like that πŸ’ͺ. Still, win is a win and Eagles' defense got the job done πŸ‘!

OMG 🀯 I'm low-key impressed with how the Eagles' defense stepped up in this game πŸ™Œ! I mean, they were all over the Packers on D, especially that edge rush from Jaelan Phillips πŸ’₯. Nakobe Dean was on fire too πŸ”₯, and it's crazy he could still put up some sick stats despite dealing with an injury. The fact that their defense was able to hold it down while Hurts struggled is a big plus 🀝. And can we talk about DeVonta Smith's TD catch? 😍 That guy's got skills for days!

the defense was straight fire lol 🀯 i mean we all knew they had the talent to do it but to actually execute like that is another story altogether. but on the other hand, our offense was meh πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ jalen hurts has been solid but he's not exactly lighting it up out there and that running game needs work tbh 60 yards for saquon? πŸ˜‚ i'm not trying to hate or anything but will shipley's role is gonna be so important this season.

yooo i'm lovin the eagles' defense right now!!! 🀩 they're like a well-oiled machine, every single player is bringin it on both sides of the ball. Jaelan Phillips and Nakobe Dean are straight fire πŸ”₯, can't even say enough about their performances tonight. tight end Dallas Goedert had some clutch plays too, 4 catches for 43 yards is no joke! 😎 and let's not forget about DeVonta Smith, he's on another level this season. the only thing i'm worried about is the running game, but saquon barkley showed some flashes tonight. still gotta see more from that unit πŸ€”

omg did you guys see that game?! i'm so hyped for the eagles defense! jaelan phillips was on FIRE πŸ”₯πŸ”΄ and nakobe dean is just a beast πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ‘Š i love how he came back from that patellar tendon injury and still brought the heat 🌟. and deonta smith is just so clutch, man... he's like the new michael vick for the eagles 🀩. i do wish the offense could find a bit more consistency, but overall, it was a solid win for philly πŸ’―πŸ‘

πŸ€” I gotta say, that game was a mixed bag all the way around. On one hand, their defense looked like a well-oiled machine πŸ”„, with those edge defenders coming up huge in big moments. Phillips was a beast out there πŸ’ͺ and Dean's return from injury is just amazing. But on offense, it felt like they were stuck in neutral πŸš‚, with the running game being particularly underwhelming.

And don't even get me started on that special teams call with Graham... what a rookie mistake 😳. But hey, all in all, I'm still excited to see how this team continues to develop and gel. With guys like Hurts, Smith, Goedert, and Dean leading the way, there's definitely potential for some big things this season. Let's just hope they can figure out that offense a little better πŸ’‘

I gotta say, their defense was straight fire 🀯! I mean, they held it down while the offense struggled to find its footing. But what really got me is how they called those plays in the second half. I love how Dallas Goedert stepped up and made some big catches πŸ“ˆ. And let's be real, DeVonta Smith is a superstar ⭐️. But on the other side of things, their running game was pretty underwhelming. Saquon Barkley's numbers were inflated because of that holding call, which just goes to show how inconsistent they can be.

And what about that edge rush? Jaelan Phillips was on πŸ”₯! I mean, he's got some serious skills 🀩. It's a good thing he was out there with Nakobe Dean, because those two are like a dynamic duo πŸ‘Š. The interior defensive line wasn't too shabby either. They brought the pressure and played the run well. Can't say much about the offense, though...

omg so confusing what was going thru dat eagles defense tho they had some big plays but also gave up some huge yards 🀯 i love how jalen hurts kept it together tho despite struggling at times but that offense needs to find its rhythm ASAP 2nd half play calling was πŸ”₯ but why did the running game struggle so much?

the defense is where it's at πŸ¦…πŸ’ͺ i mean, you can't deny the struggle they had against the Packers' offense, but when they were on, they were UNSTOPPABLE. nakobe dean is a beast, and jaelan phillips is living his best edge defender life πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ. what's even more impressive is how well they all meshed together like clockwork πŸ•°οΈ

πŸ€” The defensive performance of the Eagles was quite impressive, especially with Jaelan Phillips stepping up as a key contributor πŸš€. Their ability to disrupt the Packers' offense and force turnovers is a testament to their team's cohesion and overall strategy πŸ”’. However, it's worth noting that the offense still has some kinks to work out, particularly in terms of consistency and play calling πŸ“. With Saquon Barkley now firmly established as the lead back, I'm excited to see how the Eagles' running game continues to evolve πŸ’ͺ. The defense is clearly the strong side of this team, but it's up to the offense to match their intensity and production πŸ”₯.

man this eagles game was def a mixed bag lol the defense was straight fire but the offense had some major inconsistencies idk why they cant seem to get that running game on track saquon barkley had like 2 yards per carry lol and the holding call on brett toth was crazy what is going on with that o line anyway

anyway the defensive line was straight up dominance jalen carter was all over the field and nakobe dean was a beast after coming back from an injury i love how coach argymanis lets his players shine in big games

and braden mann's punt was SICK 🀯 but that holding call on brandon graham was a major blip on the radar

overall tho i think the eagles are looking good they just need to work out some kinks in the o line and barking up the right tree with saquon
