Gotham FC out to capture even greater goal in ‘continuation’ of NWSL title season

Yet, instead of taking time to rest, they are now focusing on the next stage - becoming the champions of the world. Their head coach Juan Carlos Amorós stated that "We are never finished" and "Our next stage is we want to be the champions of the world in January."

In order to achieve their goal, Gotham will face stiff competition at London's Women's Champions Cup. The tournament features six top teams from each continental confederation, including England's Arsenal and Brazil's Corinthians. Gotham, along with Morocco's Royal Armed Forces Sports Association (ASFAR), will compete against these top opponents.

Gotham's team is feeling confident about their chances of winning the championship. Their head coach Amorós stated that the team is "hungry" to win another trophy and that they are always competing for championships. The players themselves also expressed confidence in their abilities, with right back Mandy Freeman stating that "I'm competing to raise another trophy."

The Gotham FC team has made several key moves to strengthen their squad before the tournament. They have re-signed Midge Purce for another season and acquired veteran midfielder Savannah McCaskill from San Diego Wave FC.
