Scotland Suffer Crushing Blow in World Cup Qualification Bid
Steve Clarke's Scotland team slumped to a stunning 3-2 defeat against Greece, deal-blowing their hopes of securing automatic qualification for next summer's World Cup.
The Greeks took the lead through a goal from Georgios Tsitaousis in the first half, before Scotland responded with a Kyogo Furu equalizer to level the score at halftime. However, Greece regained the lead midway through the second half via Dimitris Manolis' strike.
Kyogo Furu's 2nd goal of the match sealed the win for Greece in the 72nd minute, while Ryan Christie's late consolation was little more than a moral victory. Scotland now find themselves in a precarious position in Group B, where Denmark are currently holding onto a narrow lead against Belarus following their own 2-2 draw.

. I remember watching them play in the Euro 2016 qualifiers back in the day and they were so close to making it through. Fast forward to now and they're still struggling. 
The Greek team just outplayed them and Kyogo Furu's goals were a bit of a bummer for Scotland fans... I guess you can't win 'em all

... scotland was doin ok but then didnt keep up with greece's pace and didnt capitalize on their chances. kyogo furu is such a talented player, but sometimes his goals feel like a consolation prize 
. anyway, it's not all doom and gloom for the Scots... they still got a chance to turn things around in group B, especially if they can get a result against denmark next month

...i mean, 3-2 is a pretty big deficit to catch up on, especially if Denmark and Belarus keep drawing amongst themselves. Clarke's gonna have his work cut out for him, but i guess there's still that one game against Denmark next month... maybe? hopefully they can turn things around, but it's looking pretty grim
