Ugh, can't believe HMRC still not getting it right ... slow payday's just an excuse for incompetence, imo. Three months for a £2k refund? That's ridiculous! And what's with the "hundreds more staff" claim? Sounds like just another PR spin to me . I mean, if they're hiring more people to process refunds, why can't they actually train them properly or invest in better systems? It's just a waste of time and money . And what about all the taxpayers who are stuck waiting for their refunds? They deserve better than some agency that still can't get it together .
It's not just about HMRC having more staff now, you know? It's also about the amount of work they have piling up. They were supposed to process these refunds in 4 weeks back when things weren't so crazy . Now, it's a whole different ball game - and we're seeing delays that can be super frustrating for people waiting on their refunds . Three times longer than before is already a long time, but the thing is, how do you scale to deal with all this? It feels like they need more staff but also better systems in place
OMG u guyz , slow pay day is like literally the WORST!!! i was like "when will my £2000 refund arriveee?" and now it's like 3x longer than usual lol what's going on with HMRC? they shoulda known better than to increase staff recruitment during a pandemic lol. but like, on the bright side, the taxpayer got their refund just SEVEN DAYS after contacting them , so fingers crossed for everyone else!
