Hudson’s Detroit announces rooftop bar Pine Hall - Detroit Metro Times

Detroit's Rooftop Bar Pine Hall to Open This Spring, Bringing Neighborhood Vibe to Downtown Area.

A new rooftop bar is set to open at Hudson's Detroit this spring, offering stunning views of the city skyline. The bar, named Pine Hall, will be run by Union Square Hospitality Group, a renowned restaurant group behind Shake Shack and several other James Beard Award-winning eateries.

According to Danny Meyer, founder of Union Square Hospitality Group, Pine Hall is envisioned as a neighborhood bar that aims to become a local hotspot for Detroiters. "Our hope is that Detroiters make it part of their regular rotation, a locals joint that brings people together and fits whatever the moment calls for," Meyer said in a press release.

The rooftop bar is expected to seat around 300 guests and feature an outdoor deck with panoramic views of downtown Detroit. Pine Hall will be a significant addition to Hudson's Detroit, a new tower that pays homage to the iconic J.L. Hudson's Department store, which once occupied the site until its closure in 1983.

As a neighborhood bar, Pine Hall is poised to become a beloved gathering spot for locals and visitors alike. With its rooftop location and outdoor deck, the bar promises to be an ideal spot to watch the sunset over Detroit or enjoy live music and events throughout the year.

Ugh, great, another rooftop bar in Detroit 🤦‍♂️🍹 like we didn't have enough already. I mean, who doesn't need another spot to go to take a mediocre selfie with a sad view of the city? But seriously, if it's run by Union Square Hospitality Group, I guess it might be decent. At least they're trying to make it a neighborhood bar and not just some tourist trap. 300 seats is still kinda small for a rooftop bar, but hey, it's better than nothing 🤷‍♂️. And a live music spot sounds nice, that could actually bring in some local talent 🎸. Fingers crossed they don't overprice the drinks and turn it into some hipster nightmare 😒.

Man I'm so hyped about this new rooftop bar Pine Hall opening up in spring 🌞! It's awesome that it's gonna be a neighborhood vibe place where locals can hang out, you know? I've been to Hudson's Detroit before and the building itself is already super cool, but now they're adding this amazing rooftop spot... can't wait to grab a drink and take in those sick views of the city skyline 📸. It's gonna be a great spot for live music too, I'm thinking they'll have some awesome outdoor events with local bands and stuff. We need more places like that around town where people can just relax and enjoy themselves without feeling too touristy or expensive 😎. And 300 seats is a pretty sweet number, not too big, not too small... just right for a chill spot. Fingers crossed it's gonna be a hit! 👍

I'm stoked that we're finally getting a neighborhood vibe in the Downtown area 🤩. I mean, who doesn't love a good spot to grab a drink and hang out with friends? The fact that Pine Hall is envisioned as a locals joint is really cool - it's like they're trying to create this authentic Detroit experience for everyone. And can we talk about those views of the city skyline?! It's gonna be a total Instagram fave 😎. I hope it becomes a staple spot in the community, you know? People can finally find that chill spot to relax and enjoy some quality time with friends or just solo...

I'm actually kinda stoked about this new rooftop bar thingy in Detroit 🤩 They're trying to make it feel like a local hangout, which is really cool. I mean, who doesn't love a good spot to grab a drink and chill with friends or just people watch? The fact that it's gonna be part of some old building that used to be a department store is pretty neat too. It's like they're bringing this old piece of history back to life in a modern way. Plus, the views of the city skyline are supposed to be sick 😎

🤣 Can you imagine sipping on a drink while watching the Tigers game on the J.L. Hudson's rooftop? That's what I'm talking about! Pine Hall is like the cool cousin of Detroit's bars - it's got that neighborhood vibe going on, but with a whole lot more height and views 🌆. I mean, who needs a fancy cocktail when you can just enjoy the sunset over the city skyline? And with live music events, this place is gonna be like the party in Ferndale... without the partying 🎉😂

🌆🍹 22% of Detroiters say they'd rather hang out at a rooftop bar with great city views than some dingy club 🏙️. I mean, who wouldn't want to sip on a craft beer while watching the sunset over the Renaissance Center? 🌅 Plus, it's not like they're gonna be super expensive or anything - $15-$20 cover charge is pretty standard for these types of spots 💸. And let's be real, Pine Hall is already gonna be a hotspot just because it's run by Union Square Hospitality Group - they've got some serious culinary cred under their belt 🤩. Guess we can add " best rooftop bar in the city" to Detroit's list of accolades 🏆...
