I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole thing... 45 years after the murder, Bou Khathavong is finally being held accountable? It's crazy that someone could go through so many twists and turns before getting deported. I mean, what was going on in his life all those years? Did he ever show any remorse for what he did to Eddie Polec?
It's interesting to note how the city of Philadelphia has moved on from this incident, but it's also clear that it still affects people today. I can imagine how difficult it must be for Eddie's family to see this guy finally get deported, especially after all these years.
I'm not sure if this is a case of justice being served or just closure for the family, but either way, it's a bit of a surreal experience to think about. What do you guys think? Should we be happy that he's finally being held accountable, or should we be asking more questions about what went wrong in the first place?
