International crime syndicate allegedly stole dozens of Toyotas from Brisbane and planned to ship to UAE

Police in Queensland, Australia have busted an international crime syndicate that allegedly stole dozens of Toyotas from Brisbane, including LandCruisers and Prados, with the intention of shipping them to the United Arab Emirates.

In a massive operation, seven men were charged with over 300 offences related to the thefts, including stealing and attempted stealing. The men, aged between 28 and 45, are set to appear in Brisbane magistrates court on January 12, 14, and 27.

The crime syndicate is believed to have flown into Brisbane in October and carried out an organised operation to steal specific Toyota models over a two-month period, resulting in the theft of 60 cars across the region. Shipping containers with whole vehicles were allegedly sent to the UAE for profit.

Police claim that the syndicate used shipping containers to send stolen vehicles to the UAE, with two LandCruisers being discovered in a wrecking yard in Brisbane's south. Over the following weeks, six more shipping containers containing more cars were located across Brisbane and Melbourne, with 15 of the allegedly stolen vehicles recovered so far.

The crime scene was declared at one location, where police found a shipping container hidden behind disassembled vehicle parts. South Brisbane district Det Insp Paul Dalton said investigators had worked around the clock for two months to identify and apprehend the alleged offenders.

"These offences are brazen and can cause significant disruption to our community's feeling of safety and ability to travel to work," he said. "This investigation was a top priority for local detectives to prevent further harm, hold the alleged offenders to account, and provide answers for victims."

OMG ๐Ÿคฏ this is insane! I mean, these guys were literally stealing cars just to ship them overseas? Like, what's the point of that? ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’ธ And can you even imagine having to deal with all those shipping containers just to move one car? It's crazy how much effort and resources went into this whole operation. I feel bad for the victims who had their cars stolen - it's so frustrating ๐Ÿ˜ค. But, at the same time, I'm also kinda impressed by the police who worked so hard to take these guys down ๐Ÿ’ช. Like, 300+ charges? That's a lot of work! I guess you could say they were pretty thorough in their investigation ๐Ÿ”. Anyway, can't wait to see how this all plays out on January 12... ๐Ÿค”

OMG u gotta be kiddin me these guys got caught red handed ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ˜ณ they stole like 60 toyotas in two months and tried to ship them to UAE its crazy how ppl can get this greedy and think they can just get away with it ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ฃ the fact that they hid shipping containers full of stolen cars behind vehicle parts is straight up sinister ๐Ÿ”ช๐Ÿšฎ at least the police were able to crack the case and recover some of the stolen vehicles which is a major win ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ˜Š

OMG ๐Ÿคฏ just heard about this crazy crime syndicate that got busted in Queensland, Australia ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ they stole like 60 Toyotas in two months?! ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ how did they even get away with it for so long? shipping containers and all that jazz... sounds super organized. but yeah, 300+ charges is a lot ๐Ÿ˜ณ I feel bad for the victims who got their cars stolen and had to deal with the stress of not knowing what happened to them. hopefully these guys get the justice they deserve ๐Ÿคž

๐Ÿค” I'm not surprised to hear about this international crime syndicate targeting Toyotas in Brisbane. It's like they thought they could just waltz in and steal cars without anyone noticing ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ˜’. The fact that it took police two months to catch them on is impressive, though.

From what I understand, the operation was pretty slick - using shipping containers to send stolen vehicles to the UAE for profit ๐Ÿ’ธ๐ŸŒด. It's crazy to think about how organized they must have been.

The part that bothers me is that these guys were stealing cars from ordinary people ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ˜”. I feel bad for the victims who lost their beloved Toyotas to these thieves. At least the police were able to recover some of them and bring charges against the perpetrators.

I'm curious, though - what motivated this group to choose Toyotas specifically? Was it just a random target or did they have a particular reason for wanting those models? ๐Ÿค”

Man, I'm still shaking my head over this whole thing... 60 Toyotas stolen from Brisbane alone? That's wild ๐Ÿคฏ. And shipping them all the way to the UAE? It's like they thought nobody would notice ๐Ÿ˜‚. But you know what really gets me? The fact that it took a two-month operation by the police just to catch these guys. I mean, come on, how hard is it to steal 60 cars in a city of millions? ๐Ÿค”.

And what's even more messed up is that this whole thing was all about making a quick buck and shipping them out for profit. Like, didn't they think about the consequences of their actions? The victims, the owners of those cars... poor guys were left with nothing ๐Ÿ˜”. It's just another example of how some people will stop at nothing to get what they want.

I don't know, maybe I'm just nostalgic for a time when stealing was less about the money and more about the thrill of it all... but this whole thing feels like it could've been avoided if people just did the right thing. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

OMG, can't believe what these guys got away with ๐Ÿคฏ... like, stealing all those Toyotas is just crazy talk! I mean, who tries to ship 60 cars out of state? That's a whole lotta trouble & risk. And now they're gonna face the music, finally ๐Ÿ˜Š. I'm glad the cops were able to track 'em down & shut down their operation. Shipping containers with vehicles in 'em? Like, what's next? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ Anyway, hope the victims get their cars back & can sleep better at night knowing justice was served ๐Ÿ’ค.

Ugh, what a pain in the backside... Can you imagine having your Toyota Land Cruiser stolen from under your nose? I mean, I've heard of people buying luxury cars but this is just ridiculous. And the fact that they're shipping them all the way to the UAE just for profit? ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿ’ธ It's like they didn't think anyone would even notice.

And what really gets me is how long it took for the police to figure out what was going on. Two months of investigating and only now are we seeing some arrests made. I know crime doesn't pay, but still... Can't they just be proactive instead of reactive? It's like, if you're gonna steal cars, at least have the decency to not hide it behind a shipping container ๐Ÿ“ฆ๐Ÿ˜’

I'm glad the police were able to catch these guys and recover some of the stolen cars, but I feel bad for all the people who got their vehicles stolen. And what about the poor Toyota owners in Melbourne? Did they get any love from the police too? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿš—

omg u gotta wonder how these guys managed 2 fly in n out steal all those toyotas w/o anyone catchin on ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ’ฅ i mean, it's crazy dat they could get away wit all those shipper containers goin into the UAE ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‘€ and now they're r gettin charged n stuff. idk wat to make of this whole thing tho... seems like a big operation but at least dey got 'em in de end ๐Ÿ’ช

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how someone can think it's a good idea to steal dozens of Toyotas ๐Ÿคฏ, let alone ship them out of Australia. It's just so reckless and thoughtless... I mean, what's the end goal here? Just to make some quick cash and then disappear into thin air? It's not worth risking the lives of innocent people on the road. But at the same time, I do feel a sense of hope that the police were able to crack this case and bring these guys to justice ๐Ÿ•’๏ธ. It just goes to show that with determination and hard work, we can make a difference and keep our communities safe ๐ŸŒŸ. Still, it's crazy to think about how many cars are out there being shipped off to who-knows-where... 60 cars is a pretty staggering number ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’ฅ

Ugh, I'm like so annoyed when I hear about people doing this kinda thing ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. 60 Toyotas stolen from Brisbane? That's crazy! And they're not even just random cars, it was specific models like LandCruisers and Prados that were targeted. It's like they knew what they wanted.

And the fact that they shipped them to the UAE for profit is just wild ๐Ÿšข. I mean, who does something like that? They're basically leaving a trail of destruction and chaos in their wake.

It's good that the police were able to catch these guys and bring them to justice ๐Ÿ’ช. The fact that 15 vehicles have been recovered so far is definitely a win for law enforcement. But at the same time, I'm like, what's gonna happen to all those people who lost their cars? ๐Ÿค” It's not just about the money or the profit, it's about the sense of safety and security that gets taken away when something like this happens.

Anyway, glad that justice is being served ๐Ÿ™. Fingers crossed for a good outcome in court on January 12, 14, and 27 ๐Ÿคž.

Ugh, what's next? They're gonna start stealing our avocado toast too ๐Ÿ˜‚. Seriously though, 300 offences is wild, like they really thought they could just ship a whole fleet of stolen Toyotas to the UAE without getting caught ๐Ÿšข. I mean, who tries to steal hundreds of cars in two months and thinks it's not gonna raise some red flags? It's like they wanted to get caught so bad, but didn't actually care about the consequences ๐Ÿ˜’. Anyway, good on the cops for cracking this case โ€“ now let's hope they can help recover all those stolen vehicles ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ.

๐Ÿšจ this is so crazy! I mean, 60 cars stolen in just two months? that's like something out of a movie ๐ŸŽฅ. And they're shipping them all the way to the UAE? no wonder they chose Australia as their hub - it's got some of the best roads for exporting ๐Ÿš—. but what really gets me is how brazen these guys were, just fly in and start stealing cars like it's nothing ๐Ÿ˜‚. I guess you could say they're a real-life 'toyota empire' ๐Ÿคฃ. but seriously, this is some serious crimes that are putting innocent people at risk - good job to the police for getting them ASAP ๐Ÿ’ฏ

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this... all these years I've been hearing about the good old days of Australia, where nothing ever happened, but it turns out they were just playing possum. 60 Toyotas in two months? That's like something straight outta a heist movie! And now they're gonna ship 'em off to the UAE for who-knows-what kinda profit? It's wild how thieves can be so brazen nowadays. In my day, we didn't even think about shipping cars on ships... ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšซ

Ugh, this is just great ๐Ÿ™„. A whole crime syndicate stealing Toyota's left and right... like they're going out of style or something ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, 60 cars over two months? That's just reckless and thoughtless... and probably profitable for these thieves ๐Ÿ’ธ. And now we're stuck with the mess of having to deal with all the recovered vehicles and figuring out what to do with them ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’”. And the best part is, they got away with shipping them to another country so it's not like we'll even know who took them or where they are ๐Ÿ˜’. The authorities must have been working day and night to catch these guys... I guess two months wasn't enough time for that ๐Ÿ˜ด. Still, at least it's over now and people can breathe a sigh of relief ๐Ÿ™... but only until the next group of thieves comes along ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

omg u no wat?? these thieves are soooo sneaky! they flew into brisbane in october and just started swiping toyotas left & right... i mean 60 cars over two months is pretty crazy. they sent the stolen vehicles to UAE on shipping containers, like who does that? ๐Ÿšš๐Ÿคฏ police r doing great work tho, det insp paul dalton says it was a top priority 2 catch these bad guys & bring them 2 justice. i just hope the victims get their cars bck & dont have 2 deal with any more drama ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿš—

I gotta say, I'm a bit surprised they didn't think it'd be hard to catch these guys shippin' off all those Toyotas ๐Ÿšš๐Ÿ‘€. Like, how many times do you have to see someone tryin' to sneak off a bunch of cars before the coppers start gettin' wise? It's just basic math, right? And 300 offences is wild, I'm no lawyer but that's like, a whole lotta crime ๐Ÿ˜‚. Anyway, glad they're finally takin' these scammers down and bringin' some closure to all those victims ๐Ÿ™. But seriously, who tries to ship cars across the ocean just for the profit? That's just greedy, man ๐Ÿ’ธ

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this massive international crime ring that infiltrated Queensland's streets and made off with dozens of Toyotas ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ˜ฒ. The fact that they went to such lengths to steal specific models, including LandCruisers and Prados, just to sell them on in the UAE for profit is just mind-boggling. I mean, what's the appeal of stealing cars and shipping them across the world? Is it the thrill of getting away with something huge, or was there something more at play?

It's also worth noting that these guys were able to fly under the radar for two whole months before the police caught wind of their operation. I guess when you're dealing with a well-oiled machine like this, it's not uncommon to have lookouts and moles who help keep everyone on track ๐Ÿ’ผ.

The recovery of 15 allegedly stolen vehicles so far is a nice win for the authorities, but I'm sure there are still many more Toyotas out there in transit or waiting to be sold. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out in court and what kind of sentences these guys can expect โš–๏ธ.

what's up with these guys stealing all those Toyotas? like, who needs that many LandCruisers in UAE? ๐Ÿค” seems like such a big risk just to get some cash. and shipping them out like that? so reckless... anyway, glad police were able to catch the bunch of thieves ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ

omg that's wild ๐Ÿคฏ! I mean, can you believe these guys actually thought they could just fly in, steal all those Toyotas, and ship them out of here? ๐Ÿšซ And it's not like it was a one-off thing either, they were stealing cars for TWO MONTHS ๐Ÿ“†! But what really gets me is how brazenly they did it. I mean, hiding shipping containers with stolen cars behind disassembled parts? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ It's like they thought they were above the law or something.

And 15 recovered so far? That's awesome ๐Ÿ’ฅ, but we should be worried about the other 285 ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. Seriously though, this is a huge operation and I'm glad the police were able to crack it down on. But let's hope these guys get what's coming to them and that our community can finally feel safe again ๐Ÿ™.
