Investec Champions Cup: Bath v Saracens and Leicester away to Bordeaux - last-16 ties

English champions Bath will host Saracens in the last 16 of the Investec Champions Cup, while Harlequins' reward for a stunning away win over La Rochelle is a home tie against Sale Sharks.

Bath scored nine tries against Edinburgh at the Rec on Friday night to finish as Pool 2 winners and qualify as fourth seeds for the knockout stage.

Quins' victory kept Leicester Tigers in the competition - and they face the tough task of trying to topple champions and top seeds Bordeaux at Stade Chaban-Delmas.

Second seeds Glasgow Warriors outclassed Saracens on Sunday to complete a clean sweep of bonus-point wins and will face South African side Bulls.

Third seeds Leinster welcome Edinburgh while six-time winners Toulouse, who lead the Top 14 but lost two of their pool games, welcome Bristol Bears.

Northampton Saints host Castres, while United Rugby Championship table-toppers Stormers will travel to Toulon.

The last 16 is comprised of seven English teams, four from France, two from Scotland and South Africa, and one from Ireland.

πŸ™Œ finally some good news in rugby, you know? i mean, it's not every day that bath scores 9 tries against edinburgh 🀯! but seriously, the investmentec champions cup is looking more exciting by the minute. quins' win over la rochelle was insane and harlequins getting a home tie against sale sharks is a huge bonus for them.

i'm loving how london's teams are doing well in this comp. we need more british rugby fans at these games, you know? πŸ‰πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ the fact that we have four english teams making it to the knockout stage is a testament to their hard work and dedication.

anyway, on to the last 16 draw... glasgow warriors look unstoppable, and i'm rooting for leinster to cause an upset against edinburgh 🀞. and of course, who doesn't love toulouse? six-time winners and they're still killing it in the top 14 πŸ’ͺ

Ugh, who needs a pool format when you can just give everyone a free pass to the knockout stage? I mean, come on, Bath scores nine tries against Edinburgh and still manages to get fourth seeds? That's like getting lost in a maze and still finding your way out with a map that's been torn up πŸ˜‚. And Harlequins' away win over La Rochelle is just amazing... said no one who actually watched the game πŸ™„. Anyway, looks like it's gonna be an exciting tournament! Can't wait to see how many try lines are crossed 🀣

omg the rugby playoffs are gonna be lit 🀩 this season its been a wild ride for all the english teams but i gotta say ill be surprised if anyone takes down b Bath and harlequins are on fire right now πŸ”₯ their home ties against sale sharks and leinster will be intense battles tho

the top teams in europe are literally on fire this season πŸŒͺ️. i mean bath just scored 9 tries against edinburgh and they're already into the knockout stage 😲. quins too took down la rochelle so they've got a good shot at taking down bordeaux at home 🏠. and glasgow warriors are looking unstoppable, beating saracens 3 times in a row πŸ’ͺ. but you know what would be epic? if sale sharks could pull off an upset against quins 🀯.

πŸ‰ just imagine the excitement at The Rec on Friday night! Bath totally smashed Edinburgh and now they get to host Saracens? That's gonna be a tough match for them, but I'm sure they'll give it their all πŸ’ͺπŸ’₯. And Quins' win over La Rochelle was insane! They're definitely due for a good run in the competition 🀩. But, oh man, Harlequins are getting some tough draws... Bordeaux is like, the ultimate challenge 😬. Still, I'm loving this Investec Champions Cup so far, it's shaping up to be an epic season!

πŸ€” I'm loving how the European club competitions are heating up! The Investec Champions Cup has some seriously mouth-watering matchups coming up. I mean, Bath vs Saracens is always a classic, but I think Quins' win over La Rochelle was just incredible πŸŽ‰. Harlequins really showed their skills out there and now they get to host Sale Sharks at home? That's gonna be some intense rugby! πŸ’ͺ

But what's even more interesting is how the knockout stage will play out. Glasgow Warriors are on fire right now, and if they can take down Bordeaux, it'll be a huge upset 🀯. And have you seen Leinster's form lately? They're looking pretty strong, especially with Edinburgh coming up next. πŸ’₯

OMG, can you believe the Investec Champions Cup knockout stage lineup is out 😲? I'm loving how Bath and Harlequins made it through to the next round - that away win by Quins was insane! 🀯 And I've got to say, I'm not surprised Bordeaux came out on top against Leicester, they're like the top dogs in Europe ⚑️.

But what's up with Toulouse getting a home tie against Bristol? Did they really drop points in the pool stage πŸ˜•? Anyway, I'm hyped for the matches this week - who's gonna step up and take down the big boys? πŸ€”

Ugh, I'm so done with the Investec Champions Cup draw 🀯. Can't they make it any more confusing? Like, why does Glasgow Warriors have to play Bulls in the last 16? They already beat Saracens and now they're gonna try to top champions Bordeaux? That's a tough ask for them... or anyone else. And what's up with Leinster playing Edinburgh after already beating them? It feels like a joke πŸ˜‚. And don't even get me started on Northampton Saints hosting Castres, I mean, who thought that was a good idea? πŸ€”

can u believe how crazy it's getting in the rugby world? i mean, bath just scored 9 tries against edinburgh lol what a game! but seriously, it's so impressive that quins managed to pull off that away win over la rochelle, i was on the edge of my seat watching that match 🀯 and now they get to host sale sharks at home, fingers crossed for them πŸ’ͺ

I'm loving the Investec Champions Cup's knockout stage format - it's a great way to separate the champions from the contenders! πŸ‰ But let's talk about the politics of it all... How can we say England is still the dominant force in European rugby when they're sending teams like Bath and Harlequins into the knockout stage as 4th and 5th seeds? πŸ€” Doesn't that tell us something about their power play?

And what's going on with the European governing bodies - are they doing enough to give more representation to smaller nations like Scotland, South Africa, and Ireland? It feels like the big boys always get a free pass... πŸ’Έ Can we make this competition more inclusive and truly representative of Europe's rugby talent?

By the way, have you seen the salary caps for top European teams? 😏 Bordeaux is basically throwing money at their players to stay ahead of the Leicester Tigers - it's like they're trying to bribe their way to victory! What does that say about the state of professionalism in European rugby?

OMG 🀯 I'm still trying to wrap my head around all these teams that made it to the knockout stage πŸ˜‚. I mean, don't get me wrong, Bath's performance against Edinburgh was impressive, but nine tries? That's just crazy talk πŸ™„. And what about Saracens getting knocked out by Glasgow Warriors? That's a tough pill to swallow for any rugby fan πŸ˜….

I'm not sure why they even have this tournament anymore πŸ€”. I mean, who needs more teams in the competition when some of them can't even get it together? Like, Toulouse lost two pool games and now they're getting Bristol Bears at home πŸ™„. That's just setting them up for a world of hurt πŸ˜‚.

And have you seen the draw for Harlequins? Bordeaux? 😳 Talk about a tough task. I'm sure they'll need some serious magic to take down those guys ✨. All in all, it's shaping up to be an interesting (and possibly crazy) knockout stage 🀯.

Ugh, I'm not surprised they're letting the Bulls in... think that's gonna be a disaster for Glasgow πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. And don't even get me started on Bordeaux - they'll just trample over Leicester like they always do πŸ˜’. Bath scoring nine tries against Edinburgh? That's just an insult to rugby... what a joke, they must've been getting paid to smash it up πŸ€‘. Quins beating La Rochelle is great, but Harlequins can't even make it out of the pool without being gifted games, poor guys πŸ˜‚. And have you seen the draw for Toulouse? Bristol Bears? Like, what a waste of talent...

OMG 😱 what a bloody nightmare for Saracens!!! they get bashed by Glasgow on Sunday and now have to face Bath in the next round 🀯 that's like being punched in the gut! and don't even get me started on Leicester Tigers... Bordeaux is like a fortress, I'm not sure if Qins stand a chance 😬

just another season of rugby getting wild 🀯 - saw bath go absolute ballistic against edinburgh at the rec, nine tries? that's insane πŸ’₯ anyone think quins stand a chance against bordeaux tho? they're like the leicester tigers of rugby... always causing upsets βš”οΈ

omg u guys can u believe that Bath scored 9 tries against Edinburgh lol what a crazy game! 🀯 i'm so hyped for the Investec Champions Cup - it's gonna be so lit this season πŸ’₯ anyway i think Harlequins' reward for winning over La Rochelle is sweet justice πŸ˜‰ but man, Quins are in for a tough task trying to beat Bordeaux πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ meanwhile i'm rooting for Glasgow Warriors all the way - they're my Scottish pride 😊 and have u seen Leinster's squad? so underrated! πŸ’ͺ

I'm surprised they're having this tournament thingy... think it's a waste of time, all that running around on grass and getting hurt πŸ˜’. And what's with the teams not being able to even get a win against some other team in their own pool? Like, Bath loses three games but still gets in as 4th seed? It just don't add up πŸ€”. And I'm also kinda salty that my fave Quins got to play a home game against Sale... should've been someone else πŸ™„. Still, gotta give it to them for pulling off that epic win over La Rochelle πŸ’ͺ.

OMG I'm so hyped for the Investec Champions Cup! 🀩 Bath's nine tries against Edinburgh is insane! They must be super confident going into the knockout stage. And Quins' win over La Rochelle is amazing, they deserve that home tie against Sale Sharks 😊. The Scottish teams are killing it with Glasgow Warriors and it'll be interesting to see how they do against Bulls. Toulouse vs Bristol Bears could be a real treat too 🎭. Northampton Saints vs Castres might be a bit of an upset but I'm all for some underdog vibes πŸ’ͺ. Bring on the knockout stage, can't wait to see which teams will lift that trophy! ⚽️

OMG u guys!!! 🀯 can u believe the knockout stage draw? I'm so hyped for Bath vs Saracens tho! I know they didn't exactly have an easy pool but 9 tries against Edinburgh is insane! πŸ’₯ And Quins' win over La Rochelle was epic! They'll definitely be a force to be reckoned with against Sale. But I gotta say, Leinster's draw isn't the worst... πŸ˜… and Toulouse welcoming Bristol is gonna be a crazy game! 🀯

OMG u guys cant even imagine the drama thats gonna go down in the Investec Champions Cup this season!!! 🀯 i mean bath just scored NINE tries against edinburgh at home and theyre still like "oh we got bonus points lol" idk how u can be so casual about it after that kind of performance πŸ™„

and then quins come along and crush la rochelle away with a stunning win... thats the kinda momentum u need to take down all the big boys!!! 🌟 now they get to face bordeaux at home and thats like playing against a team that basically already won the championship lmao

i swear, its gonna be a wild ride this tournament... anyone else thinking that quins got this in the bag?! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘
