omg, can you believe this?! Netanyahu's far-right coalition partners are like "no way dude" to the US plan for postwar governance in Gaza
. I mean, they're all about annexing that territory and building new settlements
. It's like they're ignoring the fact that there are already millions of Palestinians living in Gaza
.
And Bezalel Smotrich's comments?
"the original sin"? Really? That's just a fancy way of saying he's all about taking responsibility away from Netanyahu and shoving it on the Palestinians
. I mean, who does that? Not exactly the kind of leadership you want in a post-war situation
.
I'm worried about what this means for the truce plan, to be honest. If Israel's allies are going to reject it like this, how can they expect anyone else to trust them?
And with those severe winter storms hitting Gaza and all... I just hope that things don't get even more out of hand
. The situation is already so precarious in there
.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next
. Maybe some world leaders will step up and try to broker a peace deal?
Fingers crossed, right?
