Justin Rose six clear at Farmers Insurance Open and as he chases 13th PGA win

Justin Rose is on the cusp of securing a 13th PGA Tour win after extending his lead to six shots at the Farmers Insurance Open. The 45-year-old English golfer is in command, sitting atop the leaderboard with a staggering 21-under-par score for the tournament.

Rose's impressive performance came off the back of seven birdies and a round of four-under-par 68 on Torrey Pines' challenging South Course. He had led by as little as three shots heading into Saturday, but outplayed his rivals to further cement his position at the top of the board.

American Joel Dahmen is just two shots behind Rose in second place, after recording five birdies and a bogey in a round that kept him in contention. The 2025 Masters runner-up will have his work cut out if he hopes to overtake Rose, but he has expressed optimism about his chances of securing a high finish.

The last time Rose secured back-to-back wins on the PGA Tour was at the 2016 Valero Texas Open and the 2017 World Golf Championships - Mexico Championship. He is due for a win, given that 13 major titles are within reach with Tiger Woods the only other player to have achieved this milestone.

Rose's closest rivals include Japan's R Hisatsune, who is 4 strokes back on 17 under par; and American Seamus Power, who dropped down from second place after a disappointing third-round score. The final round will be crucial in determining Rose's chances of securing the Farmers Insurance Open title.

Despite his strong lead, Rose has cautioned that complacency will not set in. "There's never going to be any complacency," he said. "I think there's always enough respect for the game of golf in the back of your mind that you've got to do everything right tomorrow."

can u believe this dude rose is on fire πŸ”₯🌊 like 13 tour wins and still counting? that's insane, i mean we all knew he was due for one soon after beating woods at the masters last year πŸ‘ also love how focused he is, always talking about respect for the game, it shows

πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ I think it's crazy how Justin Rose is still playing at a high level at 45! He's like a fine wine, getting better with age 😊. The guy has such focus and determination on the course, you can't help but root for him. And yeah, 13 major titles are a big deal, I mean who else can say they've got that kind of history? πŸ†

ugh i dont get why rose is so confident rn πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ he's got a huge lead, but we all know what happens on sunday... 😬 those final few holes are gonna be drama city. dahmen's gotta step up his game if he wants to take down rose - 2 shots behind and it's getting harder by the minute ⏰. rose is due for a win tho, like you said, 13 majors is an achievable goal... πŸ™Œ

man... it seems like Justin Rose is on a roll 🀩! 6 shots ahead after two rounds and he's not letting anyone get too close 😬. Dahmen's gonna have to bring his A game if he wants to take down the champ, but i think rose has this in the bag πŸ”’. only thing that worries me is that complacency might be a thing for him, can't let those 13 major titles slip away πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ

man this guy justin rose is killing it on the course lol his lead is insane 6 shots ahead and still playing like a pro can't wait to see what happens in the final round hopefully he won't get complacent like we all know he's due for another win after that last back-to-back win back in 2016

😊 I'm loving this guy Justin Rose's game, he's on fire! 6 shots ahead and dominating like no one's business πŸ™Œ 21-under-par score is insane! πŸ‘€ And to think he's only 2 wins shy of 13 major titles πŸ†πŸ’₯ He's due for a big one after all those years. I'm rooting for him, gotta see how this final round plays out ⏰ Will he keep the pressure on or will someone like Joel Dahmen give him a run for his money? πŸ’ͺ

omg can't believe justin rose is on the cusp of securing another pga tour win! 🀩 13 majors are within his reach and it's crazy to think about how far he's come, still dominating after all these years 😎

dahmen's got a tough road ahead but i'm loving his optimism πŸ™Œ and rose's experience is definitely giving him an edge, having had that last win at the 2016 texas open 🀝

πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ I'm loving Justin Rose's performance so far! He's been on fire and it's amazing to see him playing at such a high level. 21-under-par is crazy, dude! 🀯 I mean, the guy's got game for days. Joel Dahmen is looking fierce in second place though, gotta give him props for staying in contention.

I'm curious to see how Rose handles the pressure going into the final round. He's talking about not getting complacent, which is smart. You can't let your guard down when you're six shots ahead with only one round left. 😬 I'm rooting for him to take home that title, especially since he's just a win away from 13 PGA Tour wins and major titles are within reach. Tiger Woods would be proud! πŸ™Œ

πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ I feel like 45 is still pretty young for a golfer to be raking it in, what with Justin Rose on his 13th PGA Tour win and all. Like, he's basically as consistent as a reliable coffee maker at this point 🍡. That South Course at Torrey Pines must've been a real challenge, though - I'm loving the mental toughness that guy is showing out there πŸ’ͺ.

The question is, how long can Rose keep this up? Is it just a matter of him maintaining his focus and keeping all those birdies coming in? πŸ€” And what about Joel Dahmen trying to catch up - will he be able to pull off an upset? I'm definitely rooting for some nail-biting action come Sunday! 😬

omg i'm dyin over justin rose!!! πŸ˜πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ he's on fire this week and i gotta say, 13 pga tour wins is literally a record that no one can touch! 🀯 tiger woods better watch out lol 😜 i mean, we all know how hard it is to get major titles and rose has been so close but not quite there... now's his chance!!! πŸ’ͺ he's in control and ain't nobody gonna take that away from him πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ i'm literally glued to my screen watching the leaderboard every 5 secs πŸ˜… can't wait for sunday and hopefully he gets that W πŸ’₯

omg this guy justin rose is so close to his 13th pga tour win πŸ™ŒπŸΌ i mean 21 under par score is insane, torrey pine's south course is like golf purgatory or something and he just destroyed it with 7 birdies lol. dahmen's in second place tho, gotta keep an eye on him, but rose seems pretty confident about taking the win

omg u guys justin rose is on fire πŸ”₯πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ i mean 13 pga tour wins r a record lol he needs only one more major win to join tiger woods πŸŽ―πŸ‘Š 6 shots lead over joel dahmen sounds pretty solid to me 😎 torrey pine's south course is no joke, but rose is on fire πŸ’₯ gotta root for the englishman all the way! πŸ‘

Omg I'm like totally rooting for Justin Rose right now 🀩! He's playing sooo good on that course at Torrey Pines. I was thinking, have you guys ever been to a golf tournament? I've always wondered how it feels to be out there on the green, trying to hit those little balls into tiny holes πŸ˜‚. My friend got invited to a charity tournament last year and he said it was super fun, but also super nerve-wracking 🀯. Anyway, back to Rose - 13 PGA Tour wins would be amazing! Does anyone know if he's still playing golf after the Masters? πŸ€”

I think Justin Rose is really due for a win at this point πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ! He's been playing some amazing golf and his confidence must be sky-high. The fact that he's still focused on doing it right, even with a six-shot lead, says a lot about him as a player.

I mean, 13 major titles is an incredible achievement and he's getting closer to catching Tiger Woods in terms of wins πŸ†. It'll be interesting to see how the final round plays out, but I think Rose has this one in the bag... for now πŸ˜….
