Twin Siblings Reunite for Spooky Surprise Album as Snocaps
A chilling surprise is in store for fans of Waxahatchee and Swearin' as twin sisters Katie Crutchfield and Allison Crutchfield reunite under the moniker Snocaps, releasing a self-titled album that marks their first new music together since 2011. The feminist punk duo's reunion is a long time coming, with both artists having pursued solo projects over the years.
The 13-track album features frequent collaborators MJ Lenderman and Brad Cook, who also helped shape Crutchfield's previous albums as Waxahatchee. Snocaps' music sees all four musicians trading off on instruments, with Cook lending his production expertise to the record.
"Allison and I have been, in some way, shape or form, doing this together for over 20 years," Katie said of their reunion. "So it is practically a given that they will work together on music at some point again in the future." The statement hints at a long-standing musical bond between the sisters, one that has only grown stronger with time.
The album's tracklist includes a mix of atmospheric soundscapes and driving punk energy, showcasing the duo's signature sound. With Snocaps' debut out now, fans can look forward to a hauntingly beautiful listen from these twin siblings reunited. As for live shows, details are scarce but it seems likely that Snocaps will be taking the stage in the coming months – at least until further notice.

It's like their old sound, but even more magical and eerie. I mean, 13 tracks is a lot, but it feels like they're not holding back at all. MJ Lenderman & Brad Cook are like the icing on the cake, you know? They add this extra layer of depth to Katie & Allison's genius songwriting. And can we talk about how awesome it is that these twin sisters have been working together for 20+ years?! It's like they were meant to be a duo all along!

! As someone who's been following Katie and Allison's solo projects, it's surreal to see them reunite under a new moniker. Their chemistry is undeniable, and it's clear that their 20+ years of creative collaboration have honed their sound into something truly unique.
