NY is putting extra eyes on immigration enforcement officers, state AG says

I'm low-key impressed by Letitia James' move! I mean, can you imagine being like Jessica Chastain from "Zero Dark Thirty" and trying to uncover truth while everyone's watching? This Legal Observation Project is a total game-changer - it's like having a bunch of everyday people in purple vests (hello, cool!) keeping an eye on things. And if someone's breaking the law, they might just get caught. It's like that scene from "The Matrix" where Morpheus is all about being aware and watching out for each other. NYC should be super proud to have AG James leading the charge on this one 💪🏽🔍
 
this whole thing got me thinking - are we really just going to let the powers that be sweep things under the rug and assume they'll magically do the right thing? i mean, a purple vest isn't gonna cut it if someone's being mistreated or wronged... it feels like we're just playing a game of whack-a-mole, trying to document every little thing before something goes down. but what about when the documentation doesn't seem to be doing anything? are we just waiting for someone to get hurt again so we can say "we tried"? i wish they'd think about the bigger picture - like how do these actions affect people's lives on a daily basis? 🤔
 
idk why they gotta make a big deal outta this 🤷‍♀️ but i guess its good they wanna keep track of what's going on with immigration enforcement in ny. it sounds like attorney general james is trying to be all transparent and accountable, which is cool i suppose. the idea of having trained observers in purple vests just seems kinda weird tho lol. but hey if it helps prevent any more tragedies or public unrest, then im all for it 🙏. its also kinda interesting that DHS hasn't commented on this yet, maybe they're trying to avoid controversy? who knows.
