Ugh, I'm getting a little worried about this government shutdown 
but at the same time, I think it's kinda cool how passionate everyone is about it 
. I mean, two-year-olds would be yelling "NOOO!" if they were in charge of the government too, right? 
. Seriously though, I'm curious to see how this all plays out. The fact that there are different views on how to handle immigration enforcement funding is actually a good thing - it means we're having a nuanced discussion 
. And who knows, maybe this shutdown will be the catalyst for some much-needed reforms? Fingers crossed

... I mean, both sides seem to be dug in, and no one's willing to budge 
. As someone who's always trying to find common ground, it's frustrating to see the Democrats and Republicans at odds over something as important as funding for the country's operations 
. I get that the Senate Democrats want changes made, but taking out funding for DHS is a big deal - what about national security? 
. That way, everyone gets something they want, and we can avoid this mess for good 
. But it's hard to be optimistic when it seems like the House is pushing forward with its plan without considering the concerns of their own party members 
... still holding out hope that sanity will prevail

the whole thing feels like a big mess to me, like they should be working together instead of fighting each other all the time 
like, how hard is it to agree on something? they're all just spinning plates now and it's getting out of hand 
. the fact that funding for DHS was removed because of 2 people getting shot by immigration agents is kinda ridiculous 
i'm all about clear communication and transparency, can they just get it together already?! 
i mean i get it, politics is complex, but come on! can we just work together to get things done 
i also love that rep jamie raskin is pushing for some changes in the rules of engagement, that sounds like a good starting point to me 
can we please just focus on getting things done instead of drama and politics?!
