Premiere: Netflix’s New True Crime Doc Dives Into a Mother’s Mysterious Disappearance

A New True Crime Doc Takes a Dark Turn: The Carman Family Deaths

The highly anticipated Netflix documentary series, "The Carman Family Deaths", has finally arrived on the streaming giant. Directed by Yon Motskin and produced by Rachel Grady, Heidi Ewing, Mary-Jane Mitchell, and WIRED Studios, this true crime doc delves into one of the most baffling and intriguing cases in recent memory.

For those who may be unfamiliar, The Carman Family Deaths revolves around the mysterious disappearance of Linda Carman, a mother who went missing on a fishing boat off the coast of New England. Her son, Nathan, was rescued just days later after being found adrift in a life raft near Martha's Vineyard.

As investigators dug deeper into the case, suspicions began to arise that something sinister might have occurred at sea. The more they learned about Nathan's story, the more questions were raised. Was he telling the truth about his ordeal? Or was it all just a clever fabrication designed to cover up a darker secret?

According to reports, Nathan has autism spectrum disorder and often struggles with social interactions, leading some to believe that his version of events might have been misinterpreted or misunderstood. However, as the case unfolded, new evidence emerged that suggested otherwise.

Fast forward to 2022, when Nathan was charged with the murder of his mother in an alleged attempt to inherit her vast estate. The family's patriarch had died under mysterious circumstances a few years prior, leaving behind a legacy worth millions.

"The Carman Family Deaths" is a gripping and unsettling true crime doc that raises more questions than answers. It's a tale of greed, deceit, and the dark side of human nature that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

With its masterful storytelling and expert investigation, this documentary series is sure to captivate fans of the genre. If you're looking for a new true crime doc to obsess over, look no further than "The Carman Family Deaths" – now streaming exclusively on Netflix.

I gotta say, I was hooked from the start, but it's super unsettling how Nathan's autism is being used against him 🤕. Like, we should be supporting people with disabilities, not using their struggles as a way to manipulate them into telling a certain story.

And don't even get me started on the family's finances - like, was it really that surprising that they were all in deep? It feels like they were just playing a massive game of chess, but with human lives 🤯. I do think the documentary does an amazing job of digging into the case and presenting all the evidence, though.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around Nathan's involvement, though... was he truly capable of committing such a heinous crime, or was he just caught up in something way beyond his control? 🤔 I don't know if I fully trust the system anymore.

🌊 This case is getting weirder by the minute... Nathan's autism doesn't excuse his possible lies but does make me wonder if he was playing us from the start 🤔. The investigation seems solid, but there are still so many inconsistencies I'm not sure what to believe anymore 😕.

I just binged this whole thing 🤯 and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it... what's really going on with Nathan? He seems like a good kid, but then you start piecing together the evidence and it's like, wow. The whole family's involved in some shady stuff, right? And that inheritance? It's crazy how far people will go for money 💸. I'm not saying he's guilty or anything, but this documentary is seriously keeping me up at night 😴. The investigation was so thorough, I feel like I actually learned something... but also kinda grossed out 🤢. Has anyone else watched it?

I'm telling ya, something fishy's goin' on here 🐟! First, we got this family disappearances, and then BAM! The kid's found alive but with some wacky story 'bout bein' stuck in a life raft for days. And now he's accused of killin' his mom? Come on, that's some wild stuff! 🤯 I mean, I'm all for gettin' to the bottom of things, but this whole thing reeks of a cover-up. What if Nathan's autism is just a smokescreen for somethin' more sinister? 😏 And what about the family's patriarch dyin' under mysterious circumstances? That's some suspicious stuff right there...

Ugh I'm literally still trying to process how messed up this whole thing is 🤯 The way Nathan's story unfolded is just so twisted it's like something out of a thriller novel... I mean I get that he has autism and all but come on, the evidence against him is just not adding up. And can we talk about his mother Linda for a sec? She's basically a ghost now and her family is just using her death as an excuse to settle some kinda dark inheritance scheme 💸 It's so sickening I don't know how anyone can watch this series without losing sleep 😴 Anyway, I'm low-key hooked on it rn but also high-key creeped out 😳

🎥😱 this doc is so wild! I just finished watching it and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it 🤯 Nathan's story is like something out of a thriller movie, but you can't help but wonder what really happened at sea 🌊️‍♀️. The way they dug deeper into the case was so suspenseful, kept me on the edge of my seat 😅.

And that twist with him being charged for his mom's murder... wow, I didn't see it coming 😲. It just goes to show how complex human psychology can be 🧠💡. The documentary does a great job of exploring the motives and emotions behind all the events, making it super engaging 👍.

I love how it raises questions about truth and perception, especially with Nathan's autism 🤝🌈. It makes you think about how we perceive people based on our own experiences and biases 👀💬. Anyway, I'm definitely recommending this to everyone I know 📺👍!

idk how they managed to get Nathan's story right but i think it's def fishy that his mom left him out of the will and then he suddenly becomes a killer lol what about all those times he said he got lost at sea and was found by some random fishermen? maybe someone should dig deeper into the family's history before makin' any accusations 🤔

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the twists and turns of the Carman family case 🤯. On one hand, I feel bad for Linda's son Nathan who was forced into such a dire situation - he sounds like an innocent kid caught up in a web of deceit 😔. But at the same time, the evidence that came out later paints a pretty damning picture. It's crazy to think about how greed and a desire for inheritance can lead people down such a dark path 💸.

What really got my attention though is how the documentary sheds light on the struggles of living with autism spectrum disorder 🤝. Nathan's diagnosis and social challenges were expertly woven into the narrative, highlighting just how complex his situation was. I think this aspect of the case is often overlooked in true crime stories, but it adds so much depth to the overall story 📚.

Overall, "The Carman Family Deaths" is a wild ride that keeps you guessing until the very end 😲. If you're a fan of true crime documentaries like me, you'll be glued to your screen watching this one 💡.

🤔 I'm not gonna lie, I was kinda invested in Nathan's story from the start 🎥. The whole 'autism spectrum disorder' thing is really tricky to navigate, especially when it comes to law enforcement and investigations 👮‍♀️. I think it's wild that he ended up being charged with his mom's murder - I mean, can you imagine going through a trial as an autistic person 🤯? The fact that they found new evidence that contradicted everything initially thought is super mind-blowing 🔍. I'm definitely gonna be watching this whole series now to see how it all plays out 📺!

🤯 I just watched this doc and I'm still trying to process everything 😱 Nathan's story is wild but what about the family members who were left out of the equation? The sister who received a huge inheritance after their mom died, what was her role in all of this? 🤑 And what about the fishing boat crew that found Nathan? Were they just a coincidence or did something suspicious happen on board? 🚣‍♀️ I need more info on these people, it's like they're hiding something 👀

Omg I'm already hooked on this doc!!! 😲 The way it's woven together is so masterful 🎥 Nathan's story is literally giving me all the feels 😩 and I need to know more about what really happened! 👀 The twist with his autism and how it might have been misinterpreted is just mind-blowing 💥 And can we talk about the estate and how much money was at stake?! 💸💎 This doc is seriously the best thing that's come out of Netflix in ages 🤩 I'm literally binge-watching this the whole day away 😴📺

I just watched "The Carman Family Deaths" and it's giving me major chills 🌃👻. I mean, what really went down with the family? It's like they're hiding something behind that mask of perfection 👀. Nathan's story seems so convincing at first, but then you start to notice all these tiny details that don't add up... 🤔. And can we talk about how messed up it is that he was charged with his mom's murder over inheritance? 💸 It's like the ultimate twisted family drama. I need more answers, Netflix needs more episodes 👀👍

I'm low-key obsessed with this new docu-series and I think it's because it's so well done 😂. The way they weaved together all the clues and theories is like a puzzle, you're trying to figure out what really happened with the Carman family. But at the same time, it's super unsettling because of how twisted things get - it's like, who's the real villain here? 🤯 I'm also curious about Nathan's autism aspect, it makes me wonder if his diagnosis played a role in how his story was perceived by everyone else. Maybe they didn't fully understand what he was going through, you know? 👀

omg can u believe what happens in this doc?! so like, nathan's parents are all rich and stuff and his dad dies under mysterious circumstances... sounds fishy if u ask me 🤔 meanwhile, nathan's struggling with autism and just happens to be on the life raft with a story that's super convenient for him... but then he gets charged with murder and it's like, woah! what's really going on here?! 🤯 i'm hooked already, 3 episodes in and i need more!! 😂

I'm totally convinced that Nathan's story was fabricated from the get-go 🤔. I mean, think about it - his mom disappears, he's found all alone in a life raft... sounds like a movie plot to me! And don't even get me started on the whole "autism spectrum disorder" thing 🙄. If you ask me, he was just trying to spin a good yarn to cover up what really happened. And let's be real, the fact that his mom dies under mysterious circumstances and leaves behind millions? That's just too convenient 😏. I'm not buying it one bit!

omg I just finished watching it last night 🤯 and my mind is still reeling...the way they pieced together the evidence was so creepy 😱 I don't know what to believe anymore, is Nathan really a psychopath or is he being manipulated by someone else? 🤔 the part about his autism spectrum disorder throwing everyone off is wild 🌪️ I'm obsessed with these types of cases and this doc series did not disappoint 👍 but also gave me some serious nightmares 😳

🤯 I'm both fascinated & creeped out by this case at the same time. The fact that Nathan's autism was used against him and made to be a potential suspect in his mom's murder is absolutely chilling. 🚨 It just goes to show how society can easily misinterpret and misunderstand people with disabilities, leading to devastating consequences. 👎 This documentary series better not make me sleep tonight 😳

I'm so invested in The Carman Family Deaths! 🤯 I mean, who wouldn't want to watch a true crime doc that's like a real-life soap opera? But seriously, this case is super baffling. I love how the documentary series digs deep into the details and raises more questions than answers. And omg, Nathan's story is so crazy - I'm not buying all his claims just because he has autism spectrum disorder. There must be more to it than that. 🤔 The fact that he was charged with his mom's murder in an attempt to inherit her estate is wild. Greed and deceit are definitely the drivers behind this whole thing. Can't wait to keep watching and seeing if justice is served!
