Record warm temperatures possible ahead of better rain chances on Thursday

omg, i'm so done with these record warm temps already! like, can't we just have a decent summer without breaking every heat record? i'm not sure about the severe weather on thursday tho, fingers crossed it doesn't bring too much damage . but yay for the return to more moderate temps after this heatwave - i need some cooler days ASAP! anyone else ready for some relief from the heat?

I'm low-key worried about this record warm temperatures thing... I mean, I get it, Houstonites love their sunshine, but it's like our bodies are gonna be all 'huh, no thanks' when we go back to normal temps . Like, have you ever tried to cool down on a hot day? It's a real thing, folks! And what about those of us who aren't exactly beach-ready? I'm all for sunshine, but some people need their air con working hard . Plus, I heard it's gonna be super humid too... not ideal.
