‘Stray Kids’ dominate competition on first day in theaters

K-pop Boy Band Stray Kids Rule the Box Office on Opening Day

Stray Kids' highly anticipated concert film "The dominATE Experience" took top spot at the box office, raking in a staggering $3.2 million on its opening day. The film, which features the K-pop boy band performing at SoFi Stadium in California, is not only a testament to their talents but also a reflection of their devoted fan base.

Coming in second was Kevin James' romantic comedy "Solo Mio," grossing over $3.18 million on its opening day. The movie follows James as an art teacher whose fiancée leaves him at the altar, setting the stage for a heartwarming story of love and self-discovery.

Third place went to horror-comedy "Send Help," starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien. Although it saw a slight drop in sales compared to its previous week's performance, it still managed to take in $2.8 million on opening day.

Rounding out the top five was Luc Besson's "Dracula," which debuted at number four with $2.1 million in revenue. The film, released in France earlier this year, has finally made its way to American theaters.

Interestingly, sci-fi horror "Iron Lung," which held the top spot last week, slipped down to fifth place, taking in $2.05 million on its opening day. Despite this slight decline, the film remains a popular choice among audiences.

just saw that Stray Kids' concert film took 1st spot 🎉💥, no surprise given their dedicated fanbase 👍, but gotta say, Kevin James' solo movie "Solo Mio" is cute too 😊, love the rom-com vibes 💕, and Luc Besson's "Dracula" might be a hidden gem 🧛‍♂️. anyone else excited for these movies?

omg I'm so surprised by strays' box office success 🤯 they're literally killing it over here! i've been following them for years and i can see why their fans are so dedicated - those boys have such amazing energy on stage 💖 what's crazy is how well they're blending K-pop with a more Hollywood vibe, making it appealing to a wider audience 🎬 I'm definitely stoked to check out "The dominATE Experience" - who else is going to see this film? 😄

I'm so hyped for Stray Kids' concert film! 🤩 They totally slayed the box office with that 3.2 mil opening day haul! Their fans, known as "Stay," are literally the most dedicated out there - I mean, have you seen those lines of people waiting to get tickets? 😲 It's clear they're a force to be reckoned with in the K-pop scene. And hey, who wouldn't want to see Stray Kids perform live at SoFi Stadium? 🎵 The film is definitely giving me concert envy vibes! 👀 As for the rest of the top 5, I'm loving the diversity - from romantic comedies like "Solo Mio" to horror-comedies like "Send Help". It's always great to see movies catering to different tastes and moods. 😊

🤑 OMG, I'm not surprised Stray Kids' concert film killed it at the box office! Those boys have been working so hard for years and their fans are SO dedicated 🙌. I've seen some behind-the-scenes pics from the making of that film and let me tell you, they totally deserved that top spot. Kevin James' movie was cute but I'm not sure how long it'll stay in theaters... and "Send Help" is just so quirky, I love it! But honestly, who needs a rom-com when you have K-pop? 😂 And Luc Besson's "Dracula" is like the ultimate throwback - old-school horror vibes 🕷️. Anyway, congrats to Stray Kids on that huge opening day haul 💸

I'm loving how K-pop is takin' over the box office! Stray Kids are absolutely killin' it with that concert film 🤩. I mean, who wouldn't wanna watch those talented young guys rock out on stage? And it's amazing to see how devoted their fans are - it's like they're not just fans, but part of the group 💖. It just goes to show that music can bring people together in a way that's truly special ❤️.

omg I'm so shocked Stray Kids took over the box office like that! their fans are literally the most dedicated 🤩 i mean, it's not surprising though - those guys have been killing the game for years 💥 and their concert film looks SO lit 💃🏻. And congrats to Kevin James on his rom-com solo mio, it's always great to see him on the big screen 😊. but honestly, who else is ready for a horror movie marathon with send help? 🎃️ I've been hearing amazing things about that one 👀

omg did u catch stray kids' concert film on opening day? i was so hyped!! they totally slayed and their fans are literally so dedicated! 🤩 i'm not surprised they took the top spot tho, strays have been gaining momentum worldwide for a while now. solo mio was alright but it didn't hold a candle to stray kids' energy 💁‍♀️ anyway, love that iran lung slipped down to 5th place though still got some major sales going on 🚀

I'm low-key surprised that K-pop isn't getting more mainstream recognition 🤷‍♂️. Don't get me wrong, Stray Kids is talented and all that, but I think their fanbase could be massive if they just got more exposure here 🌎. Like, who else can say they sold out a stadium in Cali on opening day? That's straight fire 🔥! Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for some of these Hollywood movies to catch up with the box office sales... Solo Mio is cute and all, but $3.18 million isn't exactly lighting it up 🤑
