The Big Flea Market brings vintage fashion and mid-century style to New Jersey

Vintage Fashion and Mid-Century Style to Take Over New Jersey Convention Center on February 21-22

A bustling flea market is set to return to Edison, New Jersey, bringing with it a treasure trove of vintage clothing, mid-century furniture, and antique collectibles. The Big Flea Market, which has been operating for over four decades, will take over the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center on February 21-22.

For fans of vintage fashion, this is a shopper's dream come true. Dealers will be showcasing racks of clothing from multiple eras, allowing attendees to try on pieces before making a purchase. This unique feature has helped set the event apart from other large flea markets. Expect to find everything from statement dresses and accessories to rare designer finds.

Mid-century modern furniture and decor will also be on display, with vendors offering a range of statement pieces for the home that are sure to turn heads. In addition to furniture, shoppers can expect to find vintage jewelry, accessories, and collectibles that make for easy day-trip buys.

Family-owned and operated by Joan Sides' children Marthia and Dee Dee, The Big Flea Market has a reputation for being one of the most popular flea markets in the region. With its focus on vintage clothing and mid-century style, it's an event not to be missed.

The market will run from 9am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Admission is $15 per day, with free entry for children under 12. Parking at the venue is also free, making it an easy trip for shoppers across the region.

The Edison location of The Big Flea Market is conveniently situated near major highways and is just an hour from Northeast Philadelphia, roughly 40 minutes from Midtown Manhattan, and 15 minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport.

Omg I am SO stoked for this vintage fashion and mid-century style extravaganza in NJ! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘— It's gonna be a shopper's paradise with all that vintage clothing, furniture, and collectibles on display. Can't wait to try on some statement dresses and accessories πŸ˜πŸ‘œ And mid-century modern decor is just so on trend right now! πŸ’ΌπŸ  The fact that it's family-owned and operated by Joan Sides' kids adds a personal touch. Definitely adding this to my calendar for Feb 21-22! πŸ“… Can't wait to check out the market and find some unique pieces for myself or as gifts for friends πŸ‘«

🀩 I'm low-key super hyped about this vintage fashion and mid-century style flea market in New Jersey! πŸ’Ό I've been trying to find those perfect statement dresses and accessories for ages, and now it sounds like The Big Flea Market is gonna be the ultimate destination πŸŽ‰. I mean, who doesn't love browsing through a treasure trove of vintage clothing and decor? 😍 And the best part is that dealers are letting people try on clothes before buying - genius! πŸ’‘ Mid-century modern furniture and collectibles will also be super cool to check out... can't wait to score some awesome pieces for my own home 🏠. Has anyone been to a flea market like this before? What's your favorite vintage find so far?

I'm so down for this! Reminds me of the flea markets back in the day, you know when I was a kid and my grandma used to take me to these old-school thrift stores in the city? We'd spend hours digging through racks of clothes and finding the best vintage pieces. It's like they're bringing that same vibe back for this new market. Mid-century style is all the rage right now, but it's nice to see a real event celebrating it instead of just popping up on Instagram. Should be fun! 🀩

omg i'm so stoked about this event!!! 🀩 vintage fashion is literally the best and can't wait to try on all these amazing clothes 😍 mid-century style is also super trendy right now and i love how they're bringing it all together at one place πŸ’– gotta get my hands on some of that unique vintage furniture too πŸ›‹οΈ anyone else excited? πŸŽ‰

omg I cant wait for this flea market!! they have so many cool vintage pieces on sale last year I scored an awesome pair of retro boots πŸ‘ πŸ‘‘ for like 20 bucks can't believe we get to try on all the clothes before buying too that's a major bonus lol. mid century modern furniture is everything and more I've been eyeing this one piece of a glass table from the 50s it would be perfect in my living room πŸ’•. also parking is free yay no extra cost for us shoppers 😊

πŸ›οΈ I'm totally stoked about this vintage fashion and mid-century style market coming to the New Jersey Convention Center! It's like a dream come true for all us vintage enthusiasts out there 🀩. The fact that they're setting up shop with a bunch of dealers showcasing racks of clothing from different eras is just genius πŸ‘—. I mean, who doesn't love browsing through racks of retro clothes and finding some unique statement pieces to add to their collection? πŸ’ƒ And mid-century modern furniture and decor will be on display too, which is always a bonus for me - there's something so cool about those sleek lines and retro vibes 😎.

What really sets this market apart from other flea markets, though, is the ability to try on clothes before buying them. That's just so much more convenient than browsing through racks of clothes without being able to see how they'd look on you first πŸ‘€. And with family-owned vendors like Marthia and Dee Dee at the helm, I know that the market is going to be run with love and care ❀️.

I'm planning on checking this out ASAP - anyone else going? πŸ€—

omg i'm so down for this vintage shopping spree πŸ›οΈ! mid-century modern furniture is literally my weakness 😍 can't wait to see all the retro vibes on display at The Big Flea Market πŸŽ‰ it's awesome that they're making it easy for fams with free parking and kid entry too πŸ‘ͺπŸ’•

omg I'm so down for this! vintage fashion is like my jam πŸ™Œ i mean who doesn't love browsing through racks of old clothes and trying on outfits that are straight out of the past? πŸ›οΈ mid-century modern furniture is also super trendy right now, so it's gonna be dope to check out all those statement pieces. I've been to this flea market before and it's always a blast, the kids love it too! πŸ‘§πŸ»πŸ‘¦πŸ» anyone know if they're gonna have any rare vinyls or vintage video games for sale? πŸŽΆπŸ“Ί

πŸ™„ So another flea market, just what we needed to make our lives more exciting... a vintage fashion extravaganza πŸ›οΈπŸ’ƒ. I mean, who doesn't love digging through racks of old clothes and trying on outfits that were probably only worn by their grandparents? And don't even get me started on the mid-century modern furniture – because nothing says "cool" like IKEA's 1950s knockoff designs πŸ˜‚.

But hey, if it's a family-owned business and has been around for decades, maybe it'll be worth checking out. I mean, $15 admission is pretty reasonable... unless you're the one trying on outfits in your grandma's old dress 🀣. Parking's free, too – because who doesn't love circling the block three times to find a spot? πŸ˜’

lol come on 15 bucks to walk around a flea market? that's like, crazy prices for some old clothes πŸ€‘πŸ‘— u think ppl r gonna shell out that kinda cash just to try on some vintage outfits? also idk why they gotta charge for parking too? cant the parents of the vendors afford it themselves lol πŸ’Έ

πŸ€” I'm skeptical about this vintage fashion and mid-century style takeover at the New Jersey Convention Center... how big of a flea market are we talking? A "bustling" one with over four decades under its belt? that's some serious longevity πŸ™ƒ what kind of "treasure trove" can they really expect to attract just by moving from Edison to NJCC? have they crunched the numbers on attendance and sales to back up this event? wanna see some solid data before I start planning my shopping trip πŸ’Έ

omg i'm so down for this flea market 🀩 it's like the perfect excuse to go vintage shopping with friends πŸ’β€β™€οΈπŸ‘œ and maybe even score some sick mid-century modern decor for our homes πŸ πŸ‘ have you guys been to any of these markets before? i've heard great things about The Big Flea Market, can't wait to check it out on Feb 21-22! πŸ‘‰

I don't get what's so special about having a bunch of old stuff in one place πŸ€”. I mean, I like vintage fashion as much as the next person, but isn't that just going to be expensive? And what's with all the fuss over mid-century modern furniture? It's just some old couches and chairs, right? πŸ’Ί Plus, have you seen the prices of those 'rare designer finds'? Outrageous! πŸ€‘ I'm sure it'll be a fun day for people who enjoy that sorta thing, but I'll be sticking to my online shopping πŸ‘€.

aww, that sounds like so much fun! i'm def thinking of checking it out 🀩, love vintage fashion and mid-century style... can't wait to try on some retro clothes and score some cool decor for my place πŸ’‘. the fact that its family-owned is even more awesome 😊. only thing is, 15 bucks a day might be a bit steep for me, but i guess its worth it for all the cool stuff they'll have there πŸ€‘. hoping to see some rare designer finds and unique accessories too! πŸ’…

Just had a great idea! I'm thinking of checking out this vintage flea market in NJ with my sister πŸ€—. We love thrifting and finding unique pieces for our home decor. The fact that they're having mid-century modern furniture on display is a total bonus for me - those styles are so chic! πŸ’Ό Also, free parking? Yes please! 😊 It's happening Feb 21-22 at the NJ Convention Center πŸ“. Might be worth taking a day trip from NYC or Philly...

man, can you think about how our relationship with stuff has changed over time? like, we're living in a world where vintage fashion and mid-century style are making a comeback 🀯. it's crazy to think that what was once considered 'old' is now being celebrated for its uniqueness and character.

i wonder if this flea market thing is more than just about buying stuff, you know? maybe it's about preserving memories and emotions attached to certain items. like, when we wear vintage clothing or decorate our homes with mid-century furniture, are we carrying a piece of history with us?

and then there's the aspect of nostalgia - how do we balance the desire to hold onto the past with the need to move forward? is this flea market a way for us to connect with our roots and appreciate where we came from? or is it just about indulging in some good old-fashioned retail therapy 😊. either way, i'm low-key hyped for the event!

I think this event sounds like so much fun! πŸŽ‰ I'm all about vintage fashion and mid-century style, and the fact that they're having a whole flea market dedicated to it is just amazing. I love that dealers are going to be showing racks of clothing from different eras, and that attendees can try on pieces before buying them. It's such a great way to discover new pieces and take home some unique finds. And mid-century modern furniture? Yes please! πŸ›‹οΈ I'm definitely adding this event to my calendar for February 21-22, and I'm planning on bringing the whole family along. The free parking is also a major bonus - it's going to make it super easy to get there and around the venue. Can't wait to see what kind of treasures everyone will be finding! πŸ’Ž

Wow 🀩 interesting that they're bringing back a flea market with vintage fashion and mid-century style! I love the idea of trying on clothes before buying them, it's so much fun! And mid-century modern furniture is my fave, can't wait to see some statement pieces for sale. The fact that it's family-owned and operated makes me wanna support local businesses even more πŸ’Έ

ugh another vintage flea market coming up πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ, i'm pretty sure this is going to be a huge traffic nightmare on the highway... and $15 per day? that's just crazy πŸ€‘, most people can't even afford a decent cup of coffee let alone pay admission to some overpriced antique market. and what's up with all these people trying to make a living selling old stuff? don't get me wrong, i love vintage fashion and all but it's not like anyone's actually making a sustainable income from this gig πŸ€‘πŸ’Έ
