Today’s Wordle #1684 Hints And Answer For Wednesday, January 28

Erik Kain, a seasoned Wordle enthusiast, has got another challenging riddle for you. On this "Wordle Wednesday," Erik presents a brain teaser that requires some creative thinking to solve before attempting the daily Wordle. The riddle goes like this:

"I'm not in the woods but I am in a tree
Not in the mountains, but I am in the sea
You'll never find me in the day
Only in sleep, never in play
Not in dark, nor in light
I tend to creep just out of sight
I’m in here and I’m in there
But not in dirt and not in air
not in you, just in me
can you tell me what you see?"

After analyzing his own gameplay strategy with Wordle Bot, Erik claims that the answer can be found among only two possible options: CRUEL and GRUEL. He picked CRUEL for its more common letter, which ultimately proved to be correct.

Now it's your turn to solve this clever riddle. If you think you know the word, feel free to give it a shot!

ugh, i just love how people think they're so clever with their little word puzzles... meanwhile, i'm over here thinking that "gruel" is a super obvious answer 😒. like, come on, it's not that hard - it means the mushy food from that medieval movie, and it fits all the clues perfectly! Erik's whole "it's only in sleep" thing just makes me think of those gruel-filled scenes from Game of Thrones 🍲👏. yeah, i'm going with GRUEL all the way, no contest!

🤔 seems like erik is trying to trick us with those tricky tree & sea lines... but what if he meant something more literal? 🌳💦 maybe it's not about words at all? idk but CRUEL does seem suspiciously common...

OMG 😂 I'm so down for this Wordle Wednesday challenge!!! I love Erik Kain's brain teasers 🤔 and this one sounds super tricky 🔓. I've been playing Wordle for ages (remember when you could only play with 3 lives? 😳), and I'm pretty sure I know the answer... but I need to think for a sec 💭.

After some rummaging in my Wordle archives, I'm going to take a wild guess that the word is GRUEL 🤞. I mean, it makes sense - you'd be in a tree (think of those branches), not in the day (it's a nighttime thing 🌃), and it's not something you find in dirt or air... And Erik said it was between CRUEL and GRUEL? Genius! 👏 What do you guys think? Can we solve this Wordle Wednesday puzzle together? 🤝

I'm gonna take a stab at this one 🤔. I mean, Erik Kain is super smart and stuff, but I think he's being kinda sneaky here. Like, what's with all the conditions? Not in the woods, not in the mountains... I just think it's a bunch of unnecessary distractions 😒.

I'm thinking maybe it's something that's more related to emotions or mood? Like how you feel when you're sleeping? That's when your emotions are really raw and stuff. And "creep out of sight"... that's like, when you're trying not to think about something, but it's still on your mind.

I'm gonna take a guess here... is the answer SLEEPY? 🤞

🤔 I'm loving this Wordle Wednesday challenge 🌟! The way Erik Kain laid out the clues is super clever, got me thinking outside the box (or tree). My first reaction was "what's with the sea and woods combo?" But then it clicked - he said "not in the day" which made me think of nighttime. That's when I thought of SLEEPS 🛏️! It fits all the criteria: not in the woods or mountains, but you can find a tree-like structure (like a bed frame), and it's only in sleep not in play. Plus, you never see dirt or air, just me 😴. So yeah, I'm going to take a chance and say CRUEL 🤞! Am I right? 🎉
