Trump says he's withdrawing support for Marjorie Taylor Greene, may back primary opponent

President Trump has announced that he will no longer support Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, citing her "Far Left" stance and what he described as excessive complaining. The decision marks a significant break between the two, who had previously been closely aligned.

In a lengthy post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated that Greene has become increasingly critical of him and the party leadership, including his own actions. He claimed she is upset about not receiving regular phone calls from him but argued he has more pressing matters to attend to, citing 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, and numerous countries with which he has diplomatic relations.

Trump announced that he will withdraw his endorsement of Greene, suggesting that she may face a primary challenge against her in the deep-red northern Georgia district if a suitable opponent emerges. In response to this development, Greene claimed that Trump had "attacked" her and "lied" about her, vowing to continue praying for the administration's respect.

Greene has been at odds with Republican leaders over issues like rising healthcare premiums and cost of living, drawing rare praise from Democrats who have highlighted these concerns in their own policy proposals. She has also clashed with Trump himself on several occasions, including over releasing Justice Department records related to Jeffrey Epstein, an issue the president had urged Republicans to drop.

In a recent interview with "CBS Mornings," Greene argued that Trump's opposition to releasing the files was a "huge miscalculation" and accused him of trying to "make an example" out of her. She also claimed Trump has lost his way by spending too much time on foreign policy, which led Trump himself to label her response as "lost."

Ugh I'm literally shaking right now thinking about this 😩... I mean what's going on with these two?! It's like they were closer than siblings but now it's like they're complete strangers. And honestly I don't blame Trump for making this decision, I think Greene has been a bit too much to handle lately 🀯 She was already clashing with the party leadership and now she's taking it out on poor Trump? Like, no wonder he didn't want to talk to her all the time... that's not some big deal, that's just basic human decency πŸ™„. And can we talk about how ridiculous it is for Greene to claim Trump lied about her? Like, dude said you've been being way too critical of him and now you're acting like he attacked you? Give me a break πŸ’β€β™€οΈ. I think this whole thing is just proof that politics has become way too toxic 🀬. Anyway, I guess we'll see what happens next... maybe Greene will finally learn to tone it down πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘€

omg u guys can't believe what's going down with marjorie taylor greene and trump 🀯 like she just got publicly roasted by him over how often he calls her idk what kinda relationship they were expecting but now it seems like she's on the defensive 🚫 i feel bad for her cuz she has been fighting against some tough odds trying to bring attention to issues like rising healthcare premiums and cost of living which are def worth talking about πŸ€‘

πŸ€” I'm not sure why President Trump is suddenly going after Marjorie Taylor Greene over this. Like, isn't he the one who's always complaining about how unfair politics is? πŸ˜’ I don't get it. He says she's being too critical of him and party leadership, but isn't that what leaders are supposed to do? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ And what's with the whole "more pressing matters" thing? That just sounds like a fancy way of saying he doesn't have time for her problems πŸ“ž. Anyway, I'm curious to see how this plays out in Georgia - it could get pretty interesting πŸ—³οΈ

I don’t usually comment but I think this whole thing is kinda interesting... so Trump is basically saying Greene is being too critical and complaining too much, and now he's cutting ties with her. It’s weird because they used to be super close, like two peas in a pod. But then Greene started going after some of his policies and calling him out on stuff, and now it looks like their friendship is over πŸ€”. I mean, I guess Trump has every right to distance himself from someone he doesn’t agree with, but at the same time, this could play into Greene's hands in a primary election...

OMG 🀯 can't believe this is happening! Like, Trump is basically saying Marjorie Taylor Greene is too critical and complaining... but I get it, she's been super outspoken about healthcare and cost of living issues, and honestly, who doesn't love that? πŸ™Œ it's like, refreshing to see someone speaking out on issues that matter. And now Trump is withdrawing his endorsement? That's gotta hurt her campaign vibes πŸ’”. Greene seems like a firecracker, but I feel her about this though... it's sad to see two people who were once allies going at each other. What do you guys think? Should Greene try to run again or take the L and bow out? 🀝

omg, can't believe trump is backing off from marjorie taylor greene 🀯😱 like what was he thinking? she's been speaking truth to power on those crazy healthcare prices and cost of living issues... maybe he just got tired of being called out πŸ˜‚. anywayz, it's gonna be interesting to see how this plays out in the primaries - i feel bad for greene, but at the same time, she was already getting roasted by republicans for her views πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. trump always has a way of creating drama, might as well just sit back and watch the trainwreck πŸš‚πŸ˜…

So I'm watching this whole thing with Rep Greene and Trump, and it's crazy... 🀯 I mean, on one hand, you've got Greene being super critical of Trump's actions, which is legit. She's talking about healthcare premiums and cost of living, issues that affect people's lives. That's something we should all be discussing. But then she starts throwing shade at Trump, accusing him of lying about her... πŸ™„ It feels like a cycle to me.

I think what's really going on here is that Greene has become too outspoken, even for some Republicans. They're not sure if they want someone who's gonna challenge them on everything. And now Trump's kinda distancing himself from her... πŸ‘€ But let's be real, Greene's got some valid points. We need to talk about these issues more. Maybe we can find a way to bring people together instead of pitting them against each other? 🀝

πŸ˜’ I'm not surprised about this development. Greene's antics have been getting more and more out of hand lately... 🀯 The guy's just trying to distance himself from someone who's become a liability for the party. It's time someone stepped up and took her down a peg. πŸ’ͺ Not that it'll be easy, but at least now they can say Trump isn't responsible for her actions anymore... πŸ‘€

omg u guys i cant believe what just went down 🀯 so trump is basically saying marjorie taylor greene is too left wing for him and hes done with endorsing her πŸ˜‚ but seriously have u seen her responses to trumps drama? girl she's lowkey giving him a run for his money πŸ’β€β™€οΈ i feel like the more he attacks her, the more ppl will rally around her 🀝 anyway cant wait 2 see what happens in this primary πŸ”₯

I don't think this is the best move from Trump πŸ€”. He's essentially calling out Greene for being vocal about issues he's been known to avoid - like healthcare and cost of living problems πŸ€‘. It seems like he's trying to silence a voice that might be speaking up for people who need representation πŸ‘₯. I get why some people might see it as a power play, but let's not forget that Greene has been all about listening to her constituents' concerns πŸ’¬. Trump saying she's "excessive" complaining just seems kinda rich coming from someone who's always had a loud voice πŸ—£οΈ.

I think this is a big deal! I mean, it's not every day you see the Prez basically dropping a candidate like that over social media 🀯. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been causing some waves with her views on healthcare and cost of living, but who would've thought Trump would turn on her? I guess when you're used to being in the spotlight 24/7 like he is, you can't just back down from a fight or get mad when someone doesn't play by your rules 😏.

This could be interesting though - Greene's still got that fire in her belly and won't back down without a fight. If she does decide to take on Trump's endorsement, it'll be a wild ride πŸš€. I'm not sure what the endgame is for either of them here, but one thing's for sure - this isn't going away anytime soon πŸ’ͺ.

Trump's decision to drop Greene seems legit πŸ€” I mean, the dude's already known for being unpredictable, so it's not like this comes out of nowhere. But at the same time, you gotta wonder if he's just trying to stir up drama and distract from his own issues... and let's be real, Greene's been a bit of a wild card anyway πŸ€ͺ I'm not sure what's gonna happen next with her and who might come in as a primary challenger. Guess only time'll tell 😐

πŸ€” so i gotta say... marjorie taylor greene's always been a bit of a wild card, but i kinda respect her for speaking truth to power, even if it means going against trump. like, she's not afraid to tackle the tough stuff and stand up for what she believes in, which is more than can be said for some other republicans πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. and yeah, maybe she can get a bit dramatic at times, but that's part of her charm, right? πŸ˜‚ anyway, i'm curious to see how this all plays out - will she be able to weather the storm and come out stronger on the other side? πŸ’ͺ
