TV tonight: do not mess with this new Irish detective out to solve a murder

A new Irish detective series has landed on our screens and it's a real game-changer. DS Fia Lucey, played by Lisa Dwan, is the tough-as-nails copper who's been temporarily seconded from Dublin to her rural hometown to tackle a murder case that's got everyone in a twist.

But as with all great cop shows, there's more to this series than just a good whodunit. Fia has personal demons from the past that are slowly revealed throughout the show, and it seems that these dark secrets might be linked to the investigation itself. It's like a deliciously twisted game of cat and mouse, where nothing is as it seems.

Over on BBC One, Michael McIntyre's Big Show returns with another round of Midnight Gameshow, but this time, Joe Marler from England rugby is joining in on the fun. Will he be up for the challenge, or will he just grumble his way through?

On Channel 4, Valley of the Kings: Secret Tomb Revealed concludes its excavation of Pharaoh Ramses III's tomb after 100 years. The archaeologists are getting close to uncovering some amazing treasures, but there's also a mysterious twist involving Howard Carter and the infamous tomb of Tutankhamun.

Last but not least, Heated Rivalry is back on Sky Atlantic with another sizzling episode of ice hockey drama. Romance is in the air as Scott Hunter falls for his smoothie-server Kip, but will their love story survive the pressures of the sport?

Tonight's TV highlights are all about a great mix of drama, gameshow fun, and live sports action. Catch DS Fia Lucey on BBC Four, Michael McIntyre's Big Show on BBC One, Valley of the Kings: Secret Tomb Revealed on Channel 4, Heated Rivalry on Sky Atlantic, or get your fix of Premier League football with Manchester United vs Man City at 11am and Nottingham Forest v Arsenal at 4.30pm.

I'm so excited for this new Irish detective series 🤔... I mean who doesn't love a good whodunit, right? But seriously, I hope they don't make Fia Lucey's personal demons too cringeworthy 😩. And can we talk about how Joe Marler is going to crush it on Michael McIntyre's Big Show? "I'm not grumbling, I'm just passionately expressing my dislike for your silly gameshow" 🤣. On a more serious note, Valley of the Kings: Secret Tomb Revealed sounds like an epic adventure! Who knows what secrets those archaeologists will uncover? Maybe they'll even find Tutankhamun's lost smoothie recipe 😂.

I'm low-key obsessed with this new Irish detective series, and I think Lisa Dwan is serving up some serious sass as DS Fia Lucey. Like, who doesn't love a tough copper with a dark past? The way the show weaves in her personal demons with the investigation is giving me major Sherlock vibes, but also so much more complex and intriguing.

And can we talk about Michael McIntyre's Big Show? I've always loved Joe Marler on that show, he's like the lovable grump of the team. Will he be able to keep up with the challenge of Midnight Gameshow? Maybe not, but it'll be hilarious watching him try!

The Valley of the Kings: Secret Tomb Revealed is also super interesting - I love a good archaeological mystery! And Heated Rivalry is just so well done, I'm shipping Scott and Kip hard. Tonight's TV highlights have got me all sorted for the evening 😊

I'm so glad to see a new Irish detective series on our screens 📺! I've always been a fan of a good whodunit, and this one sounds like it's got all the ingredients for a thrilling ride. But what really draws me in is the personal demons of the main character, Fia - it's not just about solving a murder, but also about her own dark past 🤔. And with the mysterious twist that links to Tutankhamun's tomb... I'm hooked!

I'm loving the vibe of this new Irish detective series - it's like a deliciously dark brew that'll keep you guessing until the end 🍵. The fact that Fia's personal demons are slowly revealed throughout the show just adds to the complexity, making it more than just a simple whodunit. And can we talk about how awesome it is to see strong female leads on TV? 👩‍🎤 I'm also intrigued by Valley of the Kings: Secret Tomb Revealed - who knew that Howard Carter was involved in the excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb? 🏺️ It sounds like a wild ride. But let's be real, what really gets me is how these shows are slowly bringing attention to historical mysteries and lost civilizations. It's like we're uncovering secrets right alongside the characters on screen 🔍...

OMG I'm so here for that new Irish detective series already 🤔👮‍♀️ it's like the perfect combo of dark pasts & whodunits, can't wait to see how Fia Lucey's story unfolds throughout the show 👀 also loving Michael McIntyre's Big Show this week, Joe Marler better bring his A-game lol 😂 but seriously Valley of the Kings: Secret Tomb Revealed sounds soooo intriguing what's that mysterious twist about Howard Carter & Tutankhamun? 🤓

OMG 🤩📺 the new Irish detective series sounds SOOO good!!! 😍 I love a good whodunit, but when it's got personal demons and secrets thrown in, that's just 💥 perfect! And the BBC show with Michael McIntyre? 🤣 can't wait to see Joe Marler get roasted 😂 on Midnight Gameshow! 📺 Also, Valley of the Kings sounds like an epic adventure 🏺🔍 and I need more Heated Rivalry in my life ❄️❤️ And don't even get me started on ice hockey drama... Scott Hunter's smoothie-server Kip is already giving me major crush vibes 💋😘

Ugh, sounds like TV is gonna be a real snooze fest tonight 🤯. First off, some Irish detective series that's prob just another cookie-cutter whodunit. And don't even get me started on Michael McIntyre's Big Show, just more of the same old gameshow shenanigans 📺. On the other hand, Valley of the Kings: Secret Tomb Revealed might actually be kinda cool if they uncover some real treasure, but what with Howard Carter and Tutankhamun involved, there's bound to be some drama 💀. And as for Heated Rivalry on Sky Atlantic, who thought ice hockey would make a good TV show? 🤷‍♂️ Guess it'll just be more of the same old sports action...
