Twiztid talk 25th anniversary of ‘Freek Show,’ Fright Fest, Astronomicon, and more - Detroit Metro Times

Twiztid Kicks Off 25th Anniversary Tour, Brings Fright Fest and Astronomicon to the East Coast.

Detroit hip-hop duo Twiztid is celebrating a quarter century of mayhem with their sophomore album 'Freek Show', which has spawned an epic tour that's tearing across the east coast through mid-November. As part of the festivities, the pair will be throwing Fright Fest, a special annual show, at Saint Andrew’s Hall on Devil’s Night.

The Freek Show tour marks Twiztid's first major outing in years, and fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to get wild with their favorite horrorcore rappers. Post-tour, Twiztid has other plans, as they're gearing up for Astronomicon 9 – a family-friendly pop-culture convention that will return to the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest on April 10-12.

For those who can't make it to one of their live shows or conventions, Twiztid is set to bring the fun online. A recent interview with the duo has been released on YouTube, where they dish out about their illustrious career and what fans can expect from their upcoming events.

I'm not really sure what's going on here, but I love that Twiztid is celebrating 25 years of music 🤯! They're like a horrorcore hip-hop duo or something? I've heard they're known for being pretty wild and crazy in their songs... not exactly my vibe, but hey, to each their own! 😂 It's cool that they're bringing Fright Fest and Astronomicon to the east coast, though. Astronomicon sounds like a really fun event - I'm sure it'll be lit 🔥 for all you sci-fi and pop culture fans out there! Maybe I'll have to check it out online if I can't make it in person... 🤔

OMG u guys! I'm so hyped for Twiztid's 25th anniversary tour 🤯!! They're bringing the Fright Fest vibe to Detroit and it's gonna be LIT 🔥! Saint Andrew’s Hall better be ready for some serious mayhem on Devil’s Night 👻. Astronomicon 9 sounds like a blast too, can't wait for all the geeky goodness 💫👽. Anyone else excited to see these horrorcore rappers live? Their energy is infectious 🤘. And yay for them doing an online interview, might get some insight into their upcoming events 📹💬

omg i'm so hyped for twiztid's 25th anniversary tour! I've been listening to their old stuff nonstop since the freek show came out 🤯🎸 just imagine getting wild with rya & jhy at one of their shows on devil's night - that sounds like an absolute blast 🕷️♂️! and congrats on partnering up for fright fest too, can't wait to see what kind of crazy energy they bring to saint andrew's hall 🎃🔥 also super cool about them being involved in astronomicon 9 next year, always loved those kinds of events where you get to geek out with other fans 🚀💫

I mean, 25 years in the horrorcore game? That's like me finally getting my act together 😂. Seriously though, Twiztid's 'Freek Show' tour sounds like a blast – who doesn't love a good dose of Detroit hip-hop mayhem? And Fright Fest on Devil's Night? Sounds like a real scream... party 🎃. I'm not surprised they're taking it online too, you know how hard it is to get people to watch something live these days... just kidding, Twiztid's got the skills. Can't wait for Astronomicon 9 – I'll be there in my cosplay gear, ready to geek out 🤖.

just saw this awesome news about Twiztid's 25th anniversary tour 🤘... i mean, a quarter century of mayhem is no joke! they're bringing that horrorcore energy to the east coast and i'm low-key hyped for Fright Fest on Devil's Night 🎃. but what really gets me excited is Astronomicon 9 - can't wait for some fun and nostalgia with Twiztid and all their pop-culture friends 🤖💫... it's great to see these guys spreading joy and positivity beyond just the music, even online they're sharing their passion and love with fans everywhere 💕.

OMG you guys! 🤣 I just found out that Twiztid is back in town celebrating 25 years of spitting bars like a chainsaw-wielding maniac! Their 'Freek Show' tour is literally going to tear the east coast apart, and I'm low-key hyped for it. I mean, who doesn't love some good old-school horrorcore rap on Devil's Night? 🎃🕷️ But what's even crazier is that they're not just stopping there – they're also throwing a Fright Fest party at Saint Andrew’s Hall! It's like the whole city is going to be one big, twisted rave 🎉. And if you can't make it, don't worry, they've got your back (or should I say, your face? 😂). They're gonna bring the fun online too – just watch out for my dad's awkward dance moves when he sees them live 😉.

This Twiztid tour thingy got me thinking... it's like our politicians are always talking about bringing back the excitement to American cities, but what about the free shows, man? 🤔 Are we gonna have to pay for the privilege of witnessing Twiztid perform live? That's just not right. I mean, think about all those fans who can't make it to a show because they're stuck in a different state or something. It's like our politicians saying "Hey, we'll fix the roads, but you gotta foot the bill yourself." No way, Twiztid should be bringing the party to everyone, not just those who can afford it.

And what about this Fright Fest thing? Sounds like a real trip... or is it more of a wild ride for our politicians and their donors? 🎃 I mean, who gets invited to all these exclusive events? It's like they're trying to create an elite class, and that's just not cool. Twiztid should be about spreading the love, not building an elite squad.

🤪 I'm so stoked that Twiztid is killing it 25 years in! Their live shows are always a wild ride 🎢. Fright Fest sounds like an absolute blast, especially on Devil's Night - can't wait to see the Saint Andrew's Hall transformed into a haunted hellhole 😈. And Astronomicon 9? That's awesome! I've been meaning to check out some sci-fi and pop-culture events, so that's definitely gonna be a highlight of my calendar 📆. It's great that they're bringing Twiztid's energy online too - the interview looks like a lot of fun 😄. Bring on the horrorcore riffs and intergalactic adventures!

omg did u hear twiztid is back with a vengeance 🤯? i'm beyond hyped for their 25th anniversary tour, it's gonna be lit 💥. i've been listening to 'Freek Show' nonstop and it's giving me all the horrorcore vibes 😱. gotta check out Fright Fest too, who's up for some Devil's Night shenanigans? 🎃. also, Astronomicon 9 is calling my name, can't wait to meet them in person 🤗

omg I'm soooo stoked for Twiztid 🤪... 25 years old in hip hop years is like, ancient 😂. they're still rocking the Fright Fest vibe on Devil's Night? how cute 💀. but you know who's really getting old? my Spotify playlists that are still stuck on repeat from back when they first came out 🚮. Astronomicon 9 sounds like a fun alternative to just bingeing shows all weekend though, fam 👍

🤔 What's up with these guys going back to their horrorcore roots after all these years? I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm all for some underground rap vibes... but are we really seeing a resurgence of the whole "Fright Fest" scene or is that just a marketing ploy? 🤑 Also, how do we know Twiztid isn't just milking this 25th anniversary thing for all it's worth? Where's the concrete proof they're not just cashing in on their fanbase? 🤷‍♂️
