NY Film Festival Reveals 2026 Main Slate

Cannes in New York: A Reflection of Our Times The New York Film Festival has unveiled its main slate lineup for 2026, featuring a diverse array of Cannes winners and selections.

This year's slate includes seven North American premieres and 13 U. S. premieres, showcasing some of the most innovative filmmakers working today.

At the forefront of this lineup are three Cannes winners: Andrey Zvyagintsev's Minotaur, which won the Grand Prix for its scathing critique of personal, political, and patriarchal corruption in contemporary Russia; Pawel Pawlikowski's Fatherland, a poignant exploration of post war Germany through the eyes of a novelist and his daughter; and Ryûsuke Hamaguchi's All of a Sudden, a tour de force of cinematic storytelling that explores the complexities of relationships and identity.
