Teenager Arrested in String of Vape Store Robberies in Harris County
A 15-year-old boy is facing charges after a spate of robberies targeting vape stores across Harris County, Texas. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO), detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit made the arrest on Tuesday following a robbery on North Freeway.
The teen was identified through surveillance footage from several Vape City stores that were targeted by the suspect. Investigators also discovered the vehicle used in multiple robberies at these locations, which helped identify the teenager as the prime suspect.
With assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Houston Police Department, law enforcement apprehended the 15-year-old during a traffic stop. The teen was subsequently charged with aggravated robbery and is being held at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
