A warm and sunny day is expected in the Bay Area, with temperatures reaching the mid-50s inland and the low 60s near the coast. However, residents should be aware of a beach hazard statement for the Pacific coast from this afternoon until Monday evening.

A Beach Hazard Statement means that there's a risk of rip currents, large shore breaks, and sneaker waves. These conditions can make swimming or wading in the water extremely hazardous.

Meanwhile, the East Bay, North Bay, Peninsula, San Francisco, and South Bay will see mostly sunny skies with highs ranging from 56 to 61 degrees Fahrenheit.

Residents are advised to check the latest forecast before heading out to enjoy the outdoors, as weather conditions can change quickly.

I'm totally fine with people swimming in those rip current-y waters it's not like they're going to get hurt or anything... 50s and low 60s is basically freezing cold for Bay Area standards lol. Ugh, what a mixed bag today ! On one hand, I love sunny days and getting outdoors, but on the other hand, those beach hazard statements can be super scary . I mean, rip currents are no joke, right? omg u guys i was like literally thinking of hitting the beach this wknd but then i saw that beach hazard statement and was all like nope dont wanna risk it my bf has a bad knee and cant exactly run around if something happens to me lol also i just had the worst time on the beach last summer with a riptide and it was super scary so yeah im good i think ill just stay home and enjoy the sunshine from the couch meanwhile i need to find a new outfit bc this one is literally suffocating me in the heat idk what im gonna do when its actually sunny out

omg u wont believe the forecast for this wkend i was thinking of goin to the beach in santa cruz with my squad but now im thinkin its not gonna be a good idea those rip currents sound super sketchy and ill rather stay indoors studying for our history test anyway, hope u all have a safe day out there!!! ️
