Ugh, can we talk about the layout of this forum for a sec? I'm trying to scroll through these new music releases and every time I hit refresh, like 10 comments are added on top of each other. It's so hard to keep track of what's going on. And can someone please explain why we have to watch a video of Theo Zhykharyev in a trenchcoat playing air guitar in the cellar? I'm trying to read about the music here, not look at a weird music video .
And don't even get me started on how hard it is to find new releases. The list at the end has like 10 different songs and no way to sort them by genre or release date. It's so frustrating! Can we please have a better search function or something? I just wanna quickly add some of these tracks to my playlist without having to read through all that extra info
I'm low-key disappointed that Theo Zhykharyev is abandoning his signature sound for black metal. I mean, I love a good dungeon synth beat as much as the next guy, but Powerplant's electro-punk vibes were what got me into their music in the first place. It feels like they're selling out to fit into some underground black metal trend that's just gonna get lost on mainstream audiences . And don't even get me started on the "fun" and "earnestness" angle - it sounds like an excuse for Zhykharyev to hide behind a veil of "artistic expression" instead of pushing himself creatively .
idk about this black metal thing tho... sounds like someone took all the fun out of music and replaced it with angsty screaming . but hey, if it brings people together in a campy way, more power to them i guess? and honestly, who doesn't love some good ol' fashioned garage-rock guitars ? been feeling kinda burnt out on everything lately, but this Bridge of Sacrifice might just be the thing to shake off the anxiety
idk what to make of this whole black metal thing tho... like its got some cool sounds and all but the whole screams-in-your-ear vibe can be kinda intense . i mean, dont get me wrong, im glad powerplant is trying new stuff but can we just have a chill album that makes us wanna dance or somethin' ? anyways, love rarely's "will" is def fire tho
