Africa Cup of Nations - Morocco find confidence while Senegal struggle for semifinal spot

Morocco's 2-0 win over Cameroon has provided a much-needed boost to the host nation's Africa Cup of Nations campaign, while Senegal's narrow victory over Mali has raised questions about their quarter-final prospects.

Brahim Diaz and Ismael Saibari scored either side of half time for Morocco, who outclassed their Indomitable Lions opponents with a convincing performance. Meanwhile, Senegal needed only one goal from Iliman Ndiaye to overcome a 10-man Mali side, whose Yves Bissouma was sent off after picking up his second yellow card.

The win has given Morocco new hope in their quest for the title, while Senegal must now regroup and focus on their next match. The quarter-finals are shaping up to be an exciting tournament, with Algeria taking on Nigeria and Egypt facing defending champions Ivory Coast.

With just one round of matches left, the stage is set for some thrilling contests. Can Morocco build on their impressive win to reach the final? Or will Senegal's narrow victory prove to be a turning point in their campaign? The answer will have to wait until the next matchday.

Just watched that crazy Cameroon vs Morocco game 🤯! Morocco totally dominated it and I'm loving how they're building momentum now 💪. Can't help but think about all those people who can't afford to watch the games on TV in Africa, though 😔. They deserve access to sports too, you know? Anyway, it's gonna be a wild ride in the quarter-finals 🎢! Algeria vs Nigeria is going to be intense 🤯...

I'm loving the vibes from the Africa Cup of Nations so far! 🌟 Morocco's 2-0 win over Cameroon is totally justified - they outplayed those guys and deserved that result. It's awesome to see the host nation getting a boost like this, now they can push for the title.

Senegal's win was super nail-biting though 😬, I'm curious to see how they'll bounce back from that narrow victory. Can't say much for Mali though, 10 men isn't exactly a good scenario 🤦‍♂️. Still, their fight wasn't in vain - they've shown they can compete with the big boys.

Quarter-finals are shaping up to be epic! Algeria vs Nigeria and Egypt vs Ivory Coast are gonna be insane matchups 🔥💪 Let's see if Morocco can keep this momentum going and reach that final spot 🤞

man, morocco's performance was insane 🤯! brahim diaz and ismael saibari are like goalscoring machines 🔥🔴. they totally outplayed cameroon and i think that win is gonna give them a huge confidence boost. senegal's win over mali was pretty intense though, especially with mali being 10 men down 🤯. iliman ndiaye's goal at the end was like a last minute lifesaver 😅.

anyway, the quarter finals are gonna be epic 🔥🔴. i'm loving how algeria and nigeria are set to go head to head, and egypt vs ivory coast is always intense 🤯. but for morocco, i think they need to keep this momentum going if they wanna reach the final 🚀.

it's getting really hard to call who's gonna make it to the end... maybe morocco can pull off a major upset? or senegal will regroup and go all out on their next match 🤔. one thing's for sure, this africa cup of nations is gonna be WILD RIDE 😲

idk about morocco building momentum lol they actually kinda got caught up by cameroon at afcon 2019 🤷‍♂️ meanwhile senegal's win was legit impressive considering how much time they wasted on offense 😅 but seriously tho, who knows what's gonna happen in the next match? maybe morocco will flop again and senegal will make it to the final 🤞

I'm loving how Morocco's win has boosted their chances, it's so important for these teams to perform well and make us parents proud 🙌. I mean, who doesn't love an underdog story, right? But seriously, Senegal's victory was super impressive considering they were down a man, that Yves Bissouma is such a drama king 😂. Anyway, can't wait for the next matchday to see how these teams hold up against each other. My kiddo and I are going to be on the edge of our seats cheering them on 👏

Morocco's win over Cameroon was super convincing, I mean who expected them to shut down their opponents like that? 🤯 And now they've got new life in their campaign, fingers crossed they can keep it up! But Senegal's win over Mali is a different story, 1-0 is never an easy win, especially when you're playing with 10 men. 😬 I think Senegal's gonna have to step up their game if they wanna make the semis. Algeria vs Nigeria could be EPIC tho, both teams are on fire right now! 🔥
