I'm not buying it... 
These new video player things are just going to make my browser slower and more annoying to use. And what's with all these dynamic captions? Can't they just stick to a plain text caption like in the old days? It's just more noise, if you ask me. 
And have you seen how many video sources each player has? That's just overkill. What's wrong with having just one or two videos per page? I don't need all that extra bandwidth being used up. Plus, what if the captions are wrong or misleading? It's too easy for someone to mess it up and then everyone gets misinformed.
And don't even get me started on the JavaScript code... who needs all those extra lines of code cluttering up my browser? Can't they just use a simple template like we used to have? I swear, technology is just getting out of hand.
