I don’t usually comment but I think it’s really cool that they’re finally giving the Burnham Building some TLC after all these years
. It’s crazy how something that old can still be so beautiful and iconic. And yeah, I get why it needs some money to fix up - who wants to see a historic building just fall apart?
But at the same time, I feel bad for the people of Chicago because Jackson Park is already kinda struggling with underinvestment... they need more than just one project to get things going again
. And omg have you heard about the Obama Presidential Center that’s opening up nearby? That's gonna be HUGE!
But seriously, there are still so many other historic projects in Jackson Park that could use some love too... like that crazy old bridge - I mean, who builds a bridge and then just leaves it to fall into disrepair?
