British Music Powerhouses Set to Shine in 2026 Billboard's UK Power Players List Returns.

The most influential music industry leaders across the UK and Ireland will be recognized this year in a long-awaited extension of Billboard’s flagship Power 100 list, marking another milestone for the thriving British music scene.

Nominations are now open from January 19th to February 3rd, and anyone can submit their suggestions via the official link. The inaugural list launched last year, where big names including Elton John, Tems, Ghazi Shami, and more were honored with special awards at a Global Power Players event held in London.

Next May, Billboard U.K. plans to publish the Power Players list, created through a nomination process led by industry peers and selected by the Billboard U.K. team themselves. This year's return is set against a backdrop of great success for British acts globally - 2025 saw a 5% growth in the U.K.'s music market.

The new recognition comes at an exciting time for British musicians, with stars like Dean and Ed Sheeran dominating the Billboard charts recently. In addition to these international successes, several top-tier concerts have been announced - most notably Dean will be taking up six nights at London's O2 Arena this spring, while Lily Allen and RAYE are set to embark on huge arena tours in the U.K. and Europe.
