omg i just saw this thread about new yorkers trying biryani for the first time and i'm DYING i went to kabak king last week and omg their dum pukht chicken biryani is LIFE.CHANGING. like, have you tried it with a side of naan? game changer
I'm so down on this new biryani spots popping up in NYC! I mean, 12 types of biryani? That's crazy talk! But seriously, I've been trying out some of these places and oh my god, the flavors are insane! The one that really got me was Indika House's hard-boiled egg biryani - like what even is this?! It sounds weird but trust me, it works. And Kebabwala's Lucknowi biryani? Spot on! I'm loving how they're bringing all these different styles of Indian cuisine to the table. I just wish some of these places would bring back their prices - I mean, $15 for a plate of biryani? That's crazy high! Still, I'll be back for more of that goodness
I'm surprised these Indian restaurants finally decided to bring their own flavors to NYC . It's about time someone else took advantage of the tourist trap scene, am I right? I mean, who needs authentic experiences when you can just have watered-down versions of real Indian food? The fact that there are 12 different biryani options means everyone's just going to end up with a stomachache from eating too much spice . And don't even get me started on the ones with eggs dyed bright yellow, that's just weird .
