Blue Jays manager reveals if any pitcher is off limits for World Series Game 7

Blue Jays Manager Schneider Emphasizes Everyone's Availability for World Series Game 7 Pitching Duties.

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider confirmed that right-handed pitcher Max Scherzer will start the decisive Game 7 of the 2025 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but made it clear that all available players on the active roster would be ready to pitch in the critical game.

The future Hall of Famer Scherzer's involvement in the game has raised confidence among Schneider and his team. "Very confident," Schneider said about having Scherzer start Game 7. "Him, everyone. It's the two best words in sports, Game 7. No better guy to have on the mound to kind of navigate the emotions, the stuff. Max has been getting ready for Game 7 when he knew he was pitching Game 3."

While the Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts announced that everyone except Yoshinobu Yamamoto would be available for the game, Schneider stressed that all hands were on deck for Toronto. "Everyone that is active on the roster will be available to pitch," Schneider said after Game 6. "Maybe even (Kevin Gausman, who pitched in Friday's Game 6). It will be all hands on deck tomorrow."

The team's depth and willingness to contribute have become crucial assets as they strive to claim their first championship since 1993. The World Series concludes on Saturday night with the first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET, leaving little room for doubt about who will take the mound in Game 7.

I'm getting so hyped for game 7 🤩! I mean, having Max Scherzer on the mound is a huge confidence booster. He's like the ultimate underdog story, you know? The guy's been preparing for this moment his whole career and it's awesome to see him get a chance to shine.

But what really gets me is that Schneider's saying all hands are on deck. Like, if someone's gotta pitch in game 7, they'll do it. That's the kind of team spirit you don't often see anymore. It's like, yeah, we've got our guys ready to go and we're gonna make it happen.

I'm a bit worried about the Dodgers though 😬. They're still a tough opponent and I feel like they've been riding that momentum all series long. But hey, at least Toronto's giving it their all, right? Fingers crossed for game 7 🤞

ugh, still got a bad feeling about this 🤕 max scherzer's involvement is actually super reassuring? i mean, the guy's been preparing for game 7 since game 3... sounds like he's got this 💪 but seriously, it's game 7, can't afford to mess up. gotta be all hands on deck for toronto 🙅‍♂️ depth has always been their strength, hope it pays off in the end 🤞

OMG u gotta love this dude Max Scherzer tho 🤯! He's like the real-life superhero of baseball, always ready to save the day in Game 7 💪. And honestly, I'm so down for Toronto's depth and willingness to contribute - it's all about that team effort, right? 🙌 Their strategy is fire, and I'm loving how Schneider is keeping everyone on their toes, making sure they're all ready to pitch 💥. Can't wait for Game 7 on Sat night! 👀

OMG, this is gonna be a classic Game 7 🎉! I'm so hyped that Max Scherzer's gonna shut it down for the Blue Jays, but you know what's even more impressive? The team's commitment to playing with heart and depth 🤝. Schneider's got every single guy on the active roster ready to pitch, which is huge. It's not just about having the best guys on the field, it's about who's willing to step up when it matters most 💪.

And can we talk about how nostalgic this feels? Like, remember all those epic Game 7s from the past? 🎥 This one's gonna be just as thrilling! The tension, the drama, the possibility of a championship... it's all coming together perfectly. Bring on Saturday night and let's get ready for some baseball magic ✨!

I'm getting pretty hyped for this Game 7! 🤩 They've got their ace Max Scherzer on the mound and it's going to be awesome to watch him do his thing. The fact that everyone is ready to pitch, even if they're not starters, says a lot about the team's depth. I'm loving how confident John Schneider is in his team - it's infectious! 💪 I've got my money on the Blue Jays now...
