what's with all the violence in NYC lately? like i know everyone has their struggles and stuff, but stabbing your own grandma to death is just crazy 
. i was talking to my friend who lives in Brooklyn and she said it's been an increase in violent crime over the past few years...i don't think that's a good sign at all 
. and 20% less citywide fatalities? that sounds like a step in the right direction, but we gotta do more to prevent these kinds of incidents from happening in the first place

Mental health checks should be in the law already. Can't just say it was a "psychotic episode" and let him walk free
