Democrats vow to fight 'full-blown cover-up' after release of Epstein files

US Democrats Vow to Press On with Fight for Epstein Files Transparency Amid Trump Administration's 'Full-Blown Cover-Up'

The US Justice Department has released over 3 million pages of documents related to late financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, but senior Democrats are demanding the release of millions more pages they claim are still being withheld.

In a move that has further escalated tensions between the administration and lawmakers, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche declared on Sunday that the review was "over", effectively closing the investigation into Epstein's activities. However, this declaration has been met with fierce criticism from Democrats, who argue that the Trump administration is engaging in a "full-blown cover-up".

Democrat Jamie Raskin, ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, told CNN that the release of 3 million pages represents only "a fraction" of what is required by law. He accused the Justice Department of deliberately withholding documents and claimed that the public's right to know has been ignored.

The controversy surrounding Epstein's files is centered on the handling of the case by the Trump administration. Critics argue that the administration is trying to draw a line under the scandal and avoid further scrutiny, particularly with regards to high-profile figures such as Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, and Prince Andrew.

Despite the Justice Department's claims that they have nothing to hide, many Democrats believe that the administration is still withholding documents that could shed light on the Epstein affair. Hakeem Jeffries, House Minority Leader, warned that "it's not over and will not be over until there is full and complete transparency as demanded by the survivors, so that there can be full and complete accountability".

Lawyers representing over 200 of Epstein's victims have also filed court papers demanding that the Justice Department take down a website hosting the released documents that publicly identifies them. The move is seen as an attempt to protect the privacy of the victims.

As the debate continues, Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie remains defiant in his pursuit of transparency, despite facing criticism and opposition from some Republicans who are calling for him to be removed from the ballot ahead of November's midterms.

๐Ÿคฌ can't believe this is still going on 3 million pages and they're saying it's over lol what about all those other pages they claim are being withheld? gotta get to the bottom of this epstein thing ๐Ÿค‘ and btw why is trump trying so hard to hide something? seems fishy to me ๐ŸŸ anyway, gotta side with jeffries on this one full transparency is key ๐Ÿ”“

I'm super confused about this whole Epstein case thing... ๐Ÿค” Like, I get that he was a bad guy and all, but why can't they just release all the documents? It's not like it's going to hurt anyone or anything. And now the Trump admin is trying to cover it up? That doesn't sit right with me at all. ๐Ÿ˜’

I don't get why some people are so protective of this stuff... isn't transparency supposed to be a thing? Like, if there's something shady going on, we should be able to see it and figure out what's really going on. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ I'm with Hakeem Jeffries on this one - full transparency is key! ๐Ÿ’ฏ

And can we talk about the victims for a second? They're the ones who deserve answers, not some politicians trying to hide something. It's like, they're still dealing with the trauma and all, so shouldn't we be trying to support them instead of covering up stuff? ๐Ÿค•

I'm soooo done with this whole Epstein situation ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. It's like, come on guys! 3 million pages and it's still not enough? That's just crazy talk ๐Ÿคฏ. I mean, I get where the Democrats are coming from - transparency is key, especially when it comes to something as shady as this case. But at the same time, can't they see that they're just creating more drama? It's like, chill out and let the Justice Department do their job ๐Ÿ’ผ.

And what's with all these accusations of a "full-blown cover-up"? Can't we just focus on getting to the truth instead of jumping to conclusions? I know some people are saying it's about protecting high-profile figures, but that's just not fair ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ. If there's something to hide, then let's get to the bottom of it already! It's time for some real transparency here ๐Ÿ‘€.

I'm also super annoyed with these victims' lawyers trying to take down the website hosting the released documents. Like, I get where they're coming from - privacy is key - but can't we just have a conversation about this instead of making a big show out of it? It's time for some civility ๐Ÿ’ฌ.

The US government is being super secretive about the Epstein files again ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜’. Like, I get it, there's a lot of sensitive info involved, but come on! The fact that they're trying to cover up what happened is just shady. It feels like they don't want us to know what really went down, especially with all these high-profile figures being involved. I'm not surprised that Democrats are pushing back hard on this - it's the right thing to do.

It's also really concerning when you think about the victims and their families who are still trying to get justice. They need to know what happened and hold people accountable for their actions. I hope lawmakers keep pushing for transparency, even if it means going up against the administration ๐Ÿ™Œ. The public has a right to know, and that's not something we should be willing to give up on.

I'm also weirdly impressed by Thomas Massie - he's still standing up for what he believes in despite all the hate he's getting ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Maybe it's time for some of his Republican colleagues to join him in demanding answers?

Ugh I'm so done with all this Epstein drama ๐Ÿ˜’ it's like they're trying to sweep it under a rug and pretend everything is fine. 3 million pages released already, but we need ALL the documents, you know? ๐Ÿคฏ I'm so with Hakeem on this one - accountability is key, especially when it comes to people in power. And can we please just focus on getting justice for those victims instead of playing politics? ๐Ÿ’”

๐Ÿ˜ just thinkin bout all these docs gettin held back like they're hiding somethin ๐Ÿค” its not about Trump or Clinton or anyone else just about seein the truth come out ๐Ÿ‘€ how many more pages gotta pass before the truth is finally told? ๐Ÿ’ก

I'm tellin' ya, it's like they're tryin' to sweep this whole thing under the rug ๐Ÿšฎ๐Ÿ’ฆ. I mean, 3 million pages is a lot, but apparently it's not enough for these Dem reps. They're claimin' the Trump admin is doin' all this cover-up stuff 'cause they don't wanna reveal some dirt on their buddies like Bill Clinton or Prince Andrew ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿคฅ.

And what really gets me is that the victims are still tryin' to get justice, and now they gotta deal with lawyers from Epstein's victims gettin' in the mix over some website they created ๐Ÿคฏ. It's just so frustrating. Can't we just get some transparency around here? ๐Ÿ™„

the more i read about this epstein case, the more it feels like we're just scratching the surface... 3 million pages is a huge chunk, but if there's still so many being withheld, that's gotta be some kinda massive cover-up ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’” all these high-profile figures trying to draw a line under this scandal? come on, guys, accountability matters ๐Ÿ’ฏ we should be having an open discussion about what really went down here and how it happened. the fact that victims' info is still being protected raises so many questions... are they hiding something? ๐Ÿค”

I'm telling you, it's like they're trying to sweep this whole thing under the rug ๐Ÿšฎ๐Ÿ‘Ž. 3 million pages is just a drop in the bucket, and now they're saying the review is over? Come on! It's like they're playing dumb or something ๐Ÿ˜’. The fact that they're still withholding documents from the public is super suspicious. I mean, what are they hiding? And with all these high-profile figures involved... it's getting juicy ๐Ÿ‘€.

And can we talk about how hurtful this must be for the Epstein victims and their families? It's like, we get it, you're trying to protect them, but at least have the decency to release more info ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. It's all about accountability, folks! If there's nothing to hide, then why are they still withholding documents? It doesn't add up ๐Ÿค”.

I'm keeping an eye on this, and I hope someone in charge actually listens to the victims and their families ๐Ÿ’ช. We need transparency here, not cover-ups ๐Ÿšซ.

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ I mean, what's new? The Trump admin is like the ultimate masterclass in playing dumb, right? They release 3 million pages of Epstein documents and suddenly they're done? ๐Ÿ™„ Like, no. You can't just sweep this under the rug that easily. These Democrats are right to be salty โ€“ it does look like a full-blown cover-up going on here.

And can we talk about how some people still think Donald Trump is above accountability? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Newsflash: he's not, buddy! The guy's been accused of everything from tax evasion to... well, let's just say some shady connections. It's time for him to face the music.

It's also pretty wild that these victims' lawyers are fighting to take down the website hosting the released docs because they want to protect the victims' identities. I mean, yes, please do. Keep their names private and don't let the world harass them online. That's not what we're talking about here โ€“ that's a decent human thing to do.

Anyway, this whole Epstein debacle is just getting more and more tangled. I'm all for transparency, but come on, can't we all just get along? ๐Ÿคช

๐Ÿคฏ Can't believe this Trump admin is trying to sweep Epstein's crimes under the rug like it never happened. 3 million pages released but they're still holding onto millions more? It's fishy, fam! ๐ŸŸ They're trying to protect their buddies and keep us in the dark. I'm all for transparency, especially when it comes to high-profile figures who might be hiding something. And those victims' families deserve answers too! Their privacy is being exploited by this admin's cowardice. We need full disclosure, now! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole Epstein case thing ๐Ÿคฏ. I mean, 3 million pages released already? That's a lot of info. But Democrats are saying there's more to it and they want all the docs out in the open. It seems like some folks think Trump's admin is trying to sweep everything under the rug. Like, what if there's something big that we don't know about yet? ๐Ÿค” I'm not sure who's right or wrong here but transparency is key, right? It's gotta be tough for those victims and their families that they still haven't gotten all the answers they deserve.

I'm telling ya, this whole Epstein thing is like a big ol' puzzle with missing pieces ๐Ÿคฏ. I mean, come on, 3 million pages released? That's just a drop in the bucket! They're hiding something for sure. And what's up with Deputy AG Todd Blanche saying it's over? Sounds like a cover-up to me ๐Ÿ˜’. I'm not buying it. These Democrats are right to be skeptical - we deserve to know what really went down. And those victims of Epstein, they're fighting for their rights and justice ๐Ÿ’ช. We should be too! Thomas Massie is speaking truth to power here ๐Ÿ‘Š.

๐Ÿคฏ Can't believe what's going on with Epstein files! It's like the government is trying to sweep this under the rug ๐Ÿšฎ. I mean, we already know that Trump and his crew were friends with Epstein, but now it seems like they're trying to cover their tracks even further ๐Ÿ”’. The victims deserve answers and justice ๐Ÿ’–. It's not enough to just release a fraction of the documents - where are the rest? ๐Ÿค” The fact that they're releasing them in installments is just a clever way to keep the public distracted ๐Ÿ“บ. We need full transparency, now! ๐Ÿ’ช

OMG you guys!!! ๐Ÿคฏ I'm literally shook by what's going on with the Epstein files ๐Ÿค” like how can they just keep withholding documents from the public?! It's so fishy ๐ŸŸ especially when it comes to Trump and Clinton and Prince Andrew ๐Ÿšซ those guys are always getting a free pass ๐Ÿ˜’ and now it's like, nope! The people have a right to know what's going on! ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ I'm all about transparency here ๐Ÿ’ก especially when it comes to powerful folks who seem to be above the law ๐Ÿคฅ 200+ victims are speaking out and demanding justice ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ I don't think we should back down either, like how can we trust that they're just going to magically release everything now?! No way Josรฉ ๐Ÿ˜‚ it's gotta be full disclosure all the way! ๐Ÿ’ฏ
