Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream voluntarily recalls some Häagen-Dazs mini bars for undeclared wheat

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, the maker of Häagen-Dazs brand ice cream, has voluntarily recalled a limited number of its Chocolate Dark Chocolate Mini Bars due to concerns over undeclared wheat in the product. The company announced the recall on Monday and published it on the FDA website.

According to Dreyer's, some batches of the mini bars may contain undeclared wheat, posing a risk to individuals with a wheat allergy or severe sensitivity. The company stated that no other Häagen-Dazs products or other batches of Chocolate Dark Chocolate Mini Bars are affected by this recall.

The recalled product was sold in a six-count package with a "best by" date of January 31, 2027, and can be identified by the batch code LLA519501. The mini bars were shipped to Kroger locations in 29 states and Giant Eagle locations in five states.

Dreyer's has instructed consumers with a wheat allergy or sensitivity not to consume the recalled product and to discard it or return it to their place of purchase for a full refund. The company apologized for any inconvenience this action may cause and emphasized its commitment to the safety, quality, and integrity of its products.

Consumers can contact Dreyer's via email at [email protected] or by phone at (800) 767-0120 to inquire about the recall.

I'm kinda surprised that a major ice cream brand like Häagen-Dazs would have wheat in their product without declaring it... I mean, you'd think they'd know that mini bars are usually gluten-free 🤔. But hey, better safe than sorry, right? At least Dreyer's is taking responsibility and recalling the affected products. It's always a good idea to double-check ingredient labels, especially if you have a wheat allergy. Consumers can take comfort knowing that the company is committed to quality and safety 💯. Just wish they'd made this info more transparent from the start... 🙏

🤕 just got a reminder that even big brands like Häagen-Dazs need to be super careful with their ingredients 🙏, and it's always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to food allergies 💖. I mean, can you imagine if someone had an allergic reaction to those mini bars? 😨 anyway, at least Dreyer's is being proactive about it and taking responsibility for the issue 👍, and they're making sure that customers who might be affected get a full refund or their money back 💸. let's all just take a deep breath and appreciate how much these companies care about our safety 🙏💖

Just found out that Häagen-Dazs mini bars have a wheat thing going on... 🤯 Like, who wants to risk their allergy issues? Not me! I'm all for companies being transparent and responsible, but this is some important stuff. A quick check on what's in the product can save lives or at least serious discomfort. Dreyer's is doing the right thing by recalling the bad batches, so kudos to them for that 🙌

🍦😬 just heard that Häagen-Dazs is recalling some mini bars due to undeclared wheat 🤯 like, I'm a huge fan of their ice cream and I would never think twice before devouring a whole six-pack of those little bars... but now I'm kinda paranoid about what's really in my food? 😬 at least they're taking responsibility for it and offering refunds to anyone who might have accidentally consumed the stuff 🙏 and can we just say that this is one major ice cream bummer?! 🍦😢

Ugh man 🤯 just got some bad news... ice cream lovers beware! Dreyer's is recalling those delicious Häagen-Dazs chocolate bars and I'm low-key relieved 😅. Undeclared wheat in a mini bar? No thanks! Can't imagine what kind of sneaky stuff they were trying to sneak into our faves 😳. At least the company is owning up to it tho, kudos for that 👍. Hope everyone who got one doesn't have a wheat allergy... fingers crossed 🤞. Now I'm just gonna have to wait an extra year for those babies to become safe again 🎉😒

Ugh, just great 🤯. Another food recall to deal with... I mean, kudos to Dreyer's for being proactive and recalling the product ASAP 💯. But can't they just be more thorough in the first place? Like, how did wheat end up in their mini bars if they're not even aware of it themselves? 🤔 And what about all those people who might have already consumed them without realizing it? 😟 That's some serious anxiety-inducing news right there. On the bright side, I guess Dreyer's is taking responsibility and offering refunds... that's a good step in the right direction 🙏. But still, can't we just rely on food labels being 100% accurate for once? 🤷‍♀️

I was just thinking about trying that new ice cream shop downtown 🍦, have you been? I mean, I've heard great things about it, but I'm always a bit skeptical when it comes to trying new flavors... like what if they mess up the ingredients? 🤔 And now this Häagen-Dazs recall is making me think twice about that ice cream cone I got last week 😂. Too bad, because that chocolate dark chocolate flavor was pretty good... maybe I'll try to get a refund and splurge on that new shop instead? 🤑

I don’t usually comment but I feel really bad for people who have a wheat allergy 🤕, this is just crazy that they can be accidentally poisoned by something as simple as an undeclared ingredient 😱. One batch of mini bars could ruin someone's whole day... and now it could potentially harm them if they eat it. Like, what are the chances, right? 😳 I guess Dreyer’s should get major props for taking responsibility and proactively recalling the product before anyone gets hurt though 👏. Can you imagine having to deal with a food allergy emergency in public, that would be super stressful 🤯!

omg 🤯 just heard that Häagen-Dazs is recalling some of their chocolate ice cream bars because they might have wheat in them 😷 thats so sketchy how could they not check the ingredients?! 🤔 i feel bad for all the ppl with wheat allergies who might've already eaten the recalled bars by accident 🤕 at least they're taking responsibility and offering refunds tho 👍 gotta respect that from Dreyers 🙏

Ugh, just got my daily dose of consumer alert 🤦‍♂️! Can't believe companies like Häagen-Dazs are still having these issues... I mean, I get it, mistakes happen, but voluntarily recalling a product? That's just good business sense 😒. And what's with the batch code thingy? Who even keeps track of those numbers? 🤔 It's just so frustrating when you're trying to chill with some ice cream and then BAM! You find out your favorite brand has wheat in it... Not cool, Dreyers 🍦😒. Anyway, I guess it's better that they're taking responsibility and offering refunds, but still... Can't we just have reliable ice cream for once? 😩

I don't usually comment but... I'm kinda surprised that a major ice cream brand like Häagen-Dazs would have undeclared wheat in one of their products 🤔. Like, isn't that what allergists warn people about? You can't just assume it's fine because you're eating something cool and tasty 😂. Anyway, on a more serious note, I hope those who are affected by the recall get their refunds back ASAP 💸. And I don't blame Dreyer's for taking proactive steps to remove the product from stores - safety always comes first 🙏. Just wish they could be more careful with quality control in the future ⚠️.

just found out about this recall for Häagen-Dazs mini bars 🤯 anyone else had issues with wheat allergies? i mean, it's a bummer that they had to pull those specific batches from stores... seems like a good reminder for consumers to always check labels and ask questions if we're unsure about ingredients. also kinda weird that the affected batch was sold over 2 years away from the "best by" date 🤷‍♀️

Ugh, another food recall... Can't believe I just spent my Saturday afternoon baking with those mini bars and now they're telling me to toss 'em 🤕💔 What's wrong with companies these days? Can't even make a decent ice cream without messing up the ingredients 🙄 And what really gets me is that it's not like it's a huge issue... I mean, people have wheat allergies and stuff, but come on... shouldn't they just make sure their products are safe in the first place? 🤷‍♀️

just heard that Häagen-Dazs is recalling some of their dark chocolate mini bars due to undeclared wheat...can't believe it 🤦‍♂️, I mean what's up with that? shouldn't be a big deal, but for people with wheat allergies or stuff, it can be super bad. i'm all about supporting my favorite ice cream brands, but this one's got me wondering if they're being extra cautious or just being cautious enough 😅. anyway, makes me wanna call Dreyer's and ask 'em about the process they went through to find out there was wheat in those mini bars 📞. pretty sure it's not the first time they've checked for that stuff, but still, gotta be careful when it comes to food safety 👍.

omg u guys cant believe what's happening with Häagen-Dazs?! i had no idea they had a wheat issue in their mini bars 🤯, like whats going on there?! its such a bummer for ppl who have wheat allergies or severe sensitivity cuz now they gotta worry about getting sick from eating the same ice cream lol . anyway, i think its great that Dreyers is being super responsible and recalling the product ASAP - at least they're taking care of their customers 🙏. idk what kinda testing would've been needed to find out there was wheat in the first place tho... guess thats just one of those things we cant control sometimes 🤷‍♀️.

OMG, a chocolate ice cream company having an issue with wheat is just soooo unexpected 🍫😒 like they actually thought people wouldn't notice that all their products are basically just sugar and stuff... but hey, at least they're taking responsibility and apologizing, so I guess that's something 🙃. Anyone have a wheat allergy? Better not go out and buy those mini bars now... 😂

🤦‍♂️ I don't think this recall is necessary, like, a total overreaction. A wheat allergy is pretty rare, and it's not like they're putting actual wheat in there... just "may contain" wheat 🙄. And honestly, what's the worst that could happen? Someone eats a mini bar and has a minor allergic reaction? 🤷‍♂️ A little ice cream isn't worth the hassle of a full recall. Plus, I'm all about personal freedom and choice... if someone wants to eat the mini bars, that's their prerogative! 😊

Ugh, ice cream brands never learn 🤦‍♂️! I mean, come on, a limited batch of chocolate mini bars with undeclared wheat? It's like they're trying to give us a stomachache with their own hands 😩. And what really gets my goat is that these things were sold in big-box stores and online - how many people actually read the labels before buying them? 🤷‍♂️

And Dreyer's is taking responsibility for this, which is awesome. I love that they're being proactive about recalling the product and not trying to sweep it under the rug. But at the same time, can't we just have a reliable ice cream brand that doesn't have to deal with these kinds of issues? 🤔

just saw that Häagen-Dazs is recalling some of their ice cream bars due to undeclared wheat 🤔... I mean, what's next? Are we gonna start seeing 'may contain' warnings on every single food item just because someone might be sensitive or allergic to something? 🙄 it's not like they're actually checking for gluten everywhere. and now I'm worried about my little sister who has a wheat allergy... gotta make sure she doesn't accidentally eat those bars 👀
