Eagles offensive coordinator search, coach rumor and report tracker

The Philadelphia Eagles have relieved their offensive coordinator, Kevin Patullo, of his duties, and it seems that more firings are on the horizon. The team has started interviewing candidates for the open OC position, with Sean Mannion being hired as the new OC.

Josh Grizzard, a former Buccaneers OC, had a second interview with the Eagles, joining Jim Bob Cooter and Sean Mannion in the running for the job. Grizzard's background is being closely followed, and he has been a candidate to replace Patullo.

Jeff Stoutland, who had previously been the run game coordinator, may not be returning to his old role. According to Jeff McLane, Stoutland was taken away from the position at some point last season, possibly due to injuries on the offensive line.

Jim Bob Cooter also interviewed with the Eagles again, this time in-person. His first interview was virtual, and fans are likely to be irritated by any coaches with past links to Nick Sirianni.

The Lions hired Mike Kafka for a high-ranking role on their offense staff, while the Bears' OC Declan Doyle has withdrawn his name from consideration for the Eagles' OC job. LSU's Charlie Weis Jr. also spoke with the Eagles but informed them that he will be staying at LSU.

Other teams are also making moves in their own OC searches. The Broncos have fired their offensive coordinator, Joe Lombardi, and the Titans are reportedly hiring Brian Daboll as their new OC. The Bills' HC job is a safety net for Daboll if he doesn't get hired by the Eagles.

The Cowboys denied the Eagles' request to interview Klayton Adams for the open OC job, while Christian Parker will be interviewing with the Packers for the defensive coordinator position.

As the search continues, it seems that the Eagles are looking for someone who can bring a new scheme and style to their offense. The team's struggles on offense in 2025 were evident, and they need to find someone who can help them move forward.

omg i cant believe its already january lol ๐Ÿ’€ the eagles r goin thru so much coaching changes rn ๐Ÿคฏ it feels like they r lookin for a whole new identity on offense ๐Ÿ”„ sean mannion is the new OC but i gotta wonder if he can bring that new scheme to life ๐Ÿ”ฎ meanwhile josh grizzard is throwin his hat into the ring ๐Ÿ‘ and jim bob cooter just had another interview lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ what's up with him tho? ๐Ÿค” has anyone else got any thoughts on this coaching carousel ๐Ÿ”„๐Ÿ‘€

I'm so down for the Eagles to keep searching for an OC ๐Ÿค”. Like, who needs stability and familiarity when you can bring in some fresh blood? I mean, Patullo's still a great guy and all, but let's be real, his offense was straight trash last season ๐Ÿ˜‚. The more drama and upheaval, the better, right? I'm rooting for Josh Grizzard to totally bomb the interview and Sean Mannion to turn out to be a total bust ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. And can we please just forget about Jim Bob Cooter's weird past with Nick Sirianni already? Let's not revisit that awkwardness ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ. Bring on the chaos, I'm ready! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

๐Ÿค” I'm low-key expecting this OC search to be a total mess, ya know? One guy gets fired, another guy quits, and then you got all these candidates who are like "Oh yeah, I've got the magic solution". Newsflash: they don't. The Eagles need someone who's gonna shake things up and bring some actual results, but I'm guessing that guy is either gonna be a huge overachiever or a total bust ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. And let's not forget about the drama surrounding Jim Bob Cooter โ€“ fans are already salty just 'cause of his past connections to Nick Sirianni ๐Ÿ˜’. I'm gonna put my money on this OC search being a hot mess express ๐Ÿ‘Ž

๐Ÿค” I don't get why the Eagles couldn't just promote from within or give some guy a chance if he's got skills? They're already hiring Sean Mannion, who was with Nick Sirianni on the Colts... isn't that like, kinda the same thing?

And what's up with Jeff Stoutland's situation? One minute he's run game coordinator, next minute he's gone. Did they just get tired of him or is there more to it than we're being told?

Also, why are they rushing into this new OC search if they don't even know for sure who's leaving? It seems like a bit of a mess... ๐Ÿคฏ

๐Ÿค” I'm loving the eagles' coaching search vibes! ๐Ÿ˜Ž They really gotta shake things up after last season's struggles ๐Ÿ“‰. I think it's awesome that Josh Grizzard is in the mix - his experience as a Bucs OC could bring some fresh ideas to Philly ๐Ÿˆ. Jim Bob Cooter's got some baggage from his Nick Sirianni past, though, so fingers crossed he doesn't get the nod ๐Ÿคž.

The Lions' hiring of Mike Kafka is def a move in the right direction - that dude's got skills! ๐Ÿ’ก And I'm stoked to see Brian Daboll joining the Titans as their new OC - he's been killing it with the Giants ๐Ÿš€. The Bills' HC gig for him seems like a solid safety net, though... ๐Ÿ‘

I do think it's cool that they're looking for someone who can bring a new scheme and style to the offense ๐Ÿ’ช. They need that spark to get this team back on track ๐Ÿ”ฅ!

๐Ÿค” I think the Eagles gotta shake things up, you feel me? #NewStartNeeded They're looking for an OC who can bring a fresh perspective and some much-needed offense magic. Sean Mannion's hire is a good start, but they need someone with that X-factor ๐Ÿค‘. Grizzard's background's got everyone intrigued, but they should also consider some new blood. Declan Doyle withdrawin' his name from consideration's a big loss, but there are plenty of talented OCs out there #EaglesOCSearch

๐Ÿค— I feel you, Eagles fans are goin through some tough times right now ๐Ÿค•. Losin a coach like Kevin Patullo is never easy, but at least it's clear they're lookin for somethin new and fresh ๐Ÿ’ก. Sean Mannion seems like a good fit so far, but we'll have to wait and see if he can bring that change the team needs ๐Ÿ”„. It's like, the offense has been stuck in neutral for a while now, and it's time for some new blood to get things movin again ๐Ÿ’ช. Fingers crossed they find someone who can help 'em turn it around! ๐Ÿ˜Š
