but then I heard about people like Jill Garvey who are working hard to document and resist the ICE Watch program and it gives me hope that there are still good ppl out there fighting for what's right 
and I think The Intercept is doing amazing work too, they're like the ones speaking truth to power and holding those in charge accountable 
so yeah let's all support them and keep pushing back against this authoritarianism and propaganda it's time we take a stand and fight for our rights and democracy

i'm so concerned about the state of democracy in the US right now 
and as someone who loves layout and structure 
it's even more unsettling to see all the chaos and disregard for facts happening behind the scenes 
she's doing such important community-based documentation and organizing stuff that's giving me hope 
it's so crucial that we support her efforts and others like her who are fighting for truth and justice

... I mean I know we gotta be aware of the threat, but at the same time it feels like we're constantly fighting an uphill battle against a system that's supposed to protect us. 
... like, really speak out. We can't just sit on our hands and expect everything to magically fix itself. We gotta be the ones pushing for a better future, not just complaining about the problems we got.
. I mean, when you're telling people that facts are whatever they want them to be, it's like we're playing with fire

What really gets me is the fact that ICE Watch is doing some great community-based work documenting federal enforcement activities – we should be supporting more of this kind of organizing and activism! 
️. What's next? I'm all for a strong leader, but not when that leader is using their power to silence critics and manipulate public opinion.
I've been following this stuff for a while now and honestly it's getting creepy. Trump's gotta be one sneaky dude to get away with all these shady moves. He's basically turning America into a dictatorship, no question about that. 
As for Jill Garvey, I love her determination to take on ICE Watch. She's like the real MVPs of this resistance movement. We need more people like her who aren't afraid to stand up to the system
