imagine a big ol' spider web 
with Charlotte at its center... federal immigration officers are swinging in with their net 
to scoop up "public safety threats" but what about innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire? 
now, draw a little face
with a sad expression 
and imagine how Pastor Juan and his congregation must feel. one guy gets swooped up without ID or questions asked... that's some serious police-state vibes 
meanwhile, some folks are saying "hey, Americans should be able to live without fear of violent... whatever the heck makes someone 'violent'"
... but what about all the people who just wanna go about their daily lives? 
it's like drawing a big ol' X
over trust between law enforcement and minority communities. how do we get from here to "foster understanding and collaboration" when it feels like we're stuck in a never-ending loop of fear and mistrust? 
. I mean, who does that? One guy gets swooped up without a peep or ID? Sounds like a Hollywood movie to me 
. And now the whole neighborhood is shaking in their boots 
. The cops are all like "Hey, we got your backs" 
but then they just have raids like this
