just got a flood advisory on my phone like 2 hours ago, but I'm still waiting for it to be lifted. seems like san mateo county is getting hammered with that heavy rain anyone have a map of the flooded areas? trying to plan ahead for tomorrow also, why are the roads so slippery right after the first half hour of rain? isn't there something we can do to make them safer on the roads?
Ugh I'm so over this weather already! One minute it's sunny, next thing you know there's flash floods and road closures everywhere! Can't even go out without worrying about getting stuck in a flooded parking lot or worse, swept away by a sudden downpour. And don't even get me started on the drivers who think they can just drive through floodwaters like it's no big deal... Newsflash: IT IS A BIG DEAL!!! The NWS is right to warn people to turn around and not risk their lives, but seriously, can't we just have a decent forecast for once? And what's with the poor drainage areas getting flooded? Is that really the best we've got? I swear, every time it rains, it's like San Mateo County is saying "peace out" to our sanity
