Football Daily | Panic on the streets of north London as Arsenal freeze again in January

Panic has set in among Arsenal fans as their team continues to struggle in January, leaving many questioning whether they can still achieve a top-four finish in the Premier League. The Gunners' poor form is nothing new - they have been in a rut for several seasons now, with a familiar pattern emerging each winter.

In January of 2021-22, Arsenal went without a win for five consecutive games. Last season, it was four games over January and February. This season, their record has only gotten worse: they've won just once in seven games in December and January, and are now on a streak of four games without a victory.

The statistics don't paint a pretty picture either - Leandro Trossard and Viktor Gyökeres lead the team with five goals each, a historically low total for joint-top scorers. The two strikers combined to score only two goals against Manchester United last weekend, which many will argue was more luck than skill.

The issue seems to go beyond just the strikers, however - it's a systemic problem that has plagued Arteta's Arsenal throughout his tenure. Despite spending heavily on talent, the team is often criticized for playing too defensively and lacking the spark of creativity required to win games.

So far this season, Leicester City manager Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has voiced concerns about the consistency of his former assistant Martí Cifuentes' tactics. It seems he now believes that more drastic changes are needed.

The question on everyone's lips is: can Arsenal still mount a top-four push? With 15 games remaining, they are currently four points clear of their rivals. Time will tell if the Gunners can rally and salvage something from this season - or if another disappointing winter lies ahead.

omg like i'm soooo worried about arsenal lol they're in shambles rn their strikers are literally not scoring and it's not just them its the whole team playing defensive football all the time 🤦‍♂️ arteta needs to shake things up or he'll be out of a job 4real

but u know what's even crazier? leicester city is talking about their former assistant marti cifuentes' tactics being too predictable 🙄 like who knew lester was paying that close attention to arsenal lol anyway back to arsenal... they gotta turn it around ASAP or else top 4 finish will be a pipe dream 💔

😩💔 I feel for those Arsenal fans! It's been a tough ride for them lately. You know what? I think they're still got a shot at it 💪! They've already taken 4 points out of a possible 15 from the teams above them, that's not bad 🤔. And let's be real, top-four finishes can happen when you least expect it... just ask Leicester City about their crazy comeback last season 🙌! The Gunners need to tweak their tactics, get those strikers scoring consistently and trust Arteta's vision for the team 💡. We'll see what happens between now and March 🤞. Maybe they'll surprise us all with a top-four push 🎉!

😩 I'm getting really worried about Arsenal's form right now 🤯. It's not just about the strikers, I think Arteta needs to make some changes to his team setup and tactics 💡. They're always playing so safe and defensive-minded, it's like they're never willing to take risks or try something new 🤔. And with all that money being spent on players, you'd think they'd be able to come up with a better game plan 🤑.

Leicester City is already talking about making changes now, and I don't blame them 🔥. A top-four finish feels like a stretch at this point ⏱️. The question is, can Arsenal even get their season back on track? 🤞 I hope they can, but it's hard to see them making the necessary adjustments in time 💔.

🤔 I feel like we're seeing a lot of deja vu with Arsenal right now... remember when they had that epic collapse in January 2021-22? 📆 They couldn't get out of their own way back then, and it's starting to look like history is repeating itself. The stats are pretty clear: Arteta's got his work cut out for him if he wants to turn this ship around. 🚣‍♂️ But you know what? I'm not ready to write them off just yet... they're still four points clear of their rivals and we've seen some decent performances from Trossard and Gyökeres. Maybe, just maybe, they can pull something out of the bag before it's too late 🤞

I'm getting worried about Arsenal 🤔💔. They've been in a slump for ages, and it's not just the strikers who are to blame 🔴⚽️. Arteta's team is really playing too safe and lacks that flair they need to win games ⏱️📈. I mean, five games without a win? That's just crazy 😲! The stats are all over the place, and it's hard to see how they can turn this around 💔🚫.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's gonna take some serious changes behind the scenes 📝💡. Maybe Arteta needs to shake things up a bit, bring in some new blood 🔥, or something? 🤷‍♂️ I don't have all the answers, but one thing's for sure: it's gonna be a wild ride if they want to make a top-four push 😅👀!

I'm not buying that Arsenal can turn it around just because they're only 4 points clear of their rivals 😒. The numbers don't lie, and their record is just plain ugly. A top-four push? That's a pretty big ask considering how many times they've struggled like this in the past. It's not like they've been unlucky or had bad luck - it's consistent poor form over multiple seasons. And let's be real, if you're only scoring 10 goals between two strikers, something needs to change 🤔. The fact that other managers are already speaking out about the need for drastic changes says a lot. Can they do it? Maybe, but I'm not holding my breath ⚠️.

I'm not buying into all the drama about Arteta's tactics 🤔...like, come on, 15 games left? You think a whole team just gets suddenly clicky & creative? 😂 I've seen teams have bad winters before and still manage to scrape together a top-four finish. It's not like they're in a completely lost cause or anything. Plus, Leicester City is looking pretty shaky themselves...I wouldn't count on them to be the ones making a push for 4th spot 🤷‍♂️
