this is just devastating... I mean, Asem's words are so true, it feels like he's been through hell himself, taking his soul with him, that's what really gets me . Thousands injured, hundreds dead, and yet we're still talking about a ceasefire? It's not even a temporary calm, it's just a brief pause before the next bombing. What's the point of peace if it doesn't come with justice for Palestinians? They deserve so much better than to be treated like this . The fact that Walaa lost her home and family is just heartbreaking... I don't know how she can keep going . It's like, we're supposed to just sit back and watch as they suffer and struggle to rebuild their lives? No way...
I'm still trying to process everything that happened in Gaza. It's heartbreaking to see the destruction and the people's suffering. Asem's words really got me - "Maybe our bodies survived, but our souls didn’t"... it's like, what even is left after all this? The fact that thousands of innocent people were killed or injured just doesn't feel right. It's like, where was the world when we needed them most? And to think that there are still so many unanswered questions about what comes next... it's really frustrating. I guess all we can do is keep holding on to hope and trying to make a difference in any way we can.
I'm still trying to process what happened in Israel-Palestine... It's heartbreaking to think about all those innocent lives lost & families torn apart. I can only imagine how traumatic it must be for the survivors, like Asem Alnabih & Walaa Shublaq. Their stories are a harsh reminder that war doesn't just affect people physically, but also emotionally & psychologically.
We need to keep talking about this issue & advocating for peace, not just in Gaza, but across the Middle East. It's not gonna be easy, but we gotta try. The fact that even amidst all this destruction, there are signs of resilience is a good sign... but it's still early days. We gotta do more to support the survivors & help them rebuild their lives.
I'm also thinking about what Asem Alnabih said - "peace is only possible when Palestinians receive their full rights". It's not just a nice phrase, it's the truth. Until we acknowledge that, we can't expect real peace. We need to listen to the voices of those who've been affected by war & work towards a more just future for everyone
