I'm thinking that if all countries are serious about reducing their carbon footprint, we might see some real changes by 2050 Like, what's gonna happen to those countries that already rely heavily on fossil fuels? Will they be able to just switch overnight or is it a long process? And how are they gonna pay for all the new renewable energy projects? It seems like a lot of money and resources are needed.
I mean, what's new? Everyone's suddenly an expert on climate change and wants everyone else to follow their lead... meanwhile, some of us are still trying to figure out how to make ends meet . It's like, yeah, we get it, fossil fuels need to go, but have you seen the prices of avocado toast lately? I'm no economist, but even I know that a global phaseout isn't exactly going to put food on people's tables... yet .
lol what's up with these countries trying to delay the whole fossil fuel phaseout thing? it's been ages since the science has shown we gotta switch already i mean marina silva is all about fairness and justice but it's not like countries are gonna magically start giving up their fossil fuel profits overnight anyway, e3g thinktank is right on point with this roadmap idea, gotta have a concrete plan or else we're just winging it and that's not gonna cut it
