Ugh, this is getting frustrating ! I mean, I get that delays happen and all, but $24.5 million extra? That's a lot of taxpayer $$$ ! And what about the safety concerns with the old system still around? It's like they're kicking the can down the road again . I'm rooting for the city to get it together tho - those investigators and prosecutors need reliable info ASAP . Fingers crossed 2026 brings a functioning RMS !
you know what's wild? I was at this food truck festival last weekend and they had these crazy good Korean BBQ tacos ... like, i'm pretty sure that's the future of food. anyway, back to houston's police records system... 24.5 million more dollars is a lot of cash but i guess it's better than spending even more on fixing the old system. has anyone been to houston? what's the deal with all these delays?
I'm low-key disappointed that it's gonna take another year for this new police records management system to be ready . On the other hand, I get why they gotta wait - poor record-keeping is no joke and you don't wanna rush into something that can compromise sensitive info . At the same time, $24.5 million more on top of what they already spent is a lot ... I mean, do we really need to spend so much money? And what's the guarantee that this new system won't have its own set of problems in the future?
